This essay answers the question if there are gender stereotypical tendencies in the Swedish adaptation of The Eye of the World by analyzing personal descriptive words such as adjectives and adverbs. The method used to answer the question is a quantitative data collection method of all the work's descriptive words.

The focus is on the main charcters which are the three aunts,Uncle Blue, Peter and Lotta and especially the picture book The adventures of Peterand Lotta.
