Mineralogical and geochemical analyses of the Crowsnest Volcanics, southwest Alberta

The analcime-phyric rocks of the Crowsnest volcanics are dominated by breccias and epiclastic rocks. Igneous phenocrysts consist of sanidine feldspar, analcime, melanite-garnet, pyroxene, and titanite in a matrix with trachytic alignment of albite and sanidine laths.

Molecular Palaeontology Prospects From Exceptionally Preserved Eocene Brackish‐Water Bivalve Batissa sitakaraensis (Venerida: Corbiculidae) From Hokkaido, Japan

This study reports the exceptional preservation of the Eocene freshwater bivalve Batissa sitakaraensis from Hokkaido, Japan. Multimodal analyses reveal that both the aragonitic shell mineralogy and the delicate organic periostracum retain their original structural and chemical characteristics after millions of years.

Geochemistry and Geochronology of Magmatic Rocks in Southwestern and Northeastern Cambodia: Implications for the Tectonic Evolution and Metallogenesis of the Loei Fold Belt

The composition of intrusive rocks suggests that the magma was likely generated in a subduction‐related setting. The arc crustal thickness in the Phnom Sro Ngam and Halo Prospects was probably < 40 km during emplacement. Zircon U–Pb age range indicates a correlation with Loei Fold Belt magmatic activity.
