Geochemical characteristics of oils from Taiwan

Journal of Southeast Asian Earth Sciences, 1994
Abstract Geochemical studies on a number of oils from Taiwan have shown that they are sourced predominantly from terrigenous organic matter. Biomarker characteristics include the presence of high amounts of long-chain regular isoprenoids, bicyclic sesquiterpanes, diterpanes, low concentrations or absence of tricyclic terpanes, presence of several C ...

HYDROGEOLOGICAL AND GEOCHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE STRIPA SITE

1981
ABSTRACT The Stripa mine test site, located approximately 200 km west-northwest of Stockholm, Sweden, is the focal point of a detailed fracture-hydrology study. Preliminary results from three of the five main components of this program are discussed in this paper.

Organic geochemical characteristics of Bulgarian jet

International Journal of Coal Geology, 2017
Abstract The paper presents the results of the organic geochemical studies of Bulgarian jet samples of early Jurassic and early Cretaceous age from two deposits located within the Moesian platform and the Balkan tectonic zone. Total organic carbon contents (71 and 78% daf) indicate sub-bituminous coalification rank.

The geochemical characteristics of marine volcanic rock

Journal of Central South University of Technology, 1996
The geochemical characteristics of keratophyre-spilite series in Kunyang Rift Valley at Yunnan are studied, including main chemical composition, trace element, REE distribution, and alkalinity. The study shows that its geochemical characteristics have close relations with copper and iron deposit.

Geochemical characteristics of Precambrian basaltic greenstones

1990
One of the most fundamental questions concerning early Precambrian basic magmas is whether or not they are geochemically the same as those produced in equivalent tectonic settings at the present day. However, the geochemical classification of ancient basic igneous suites on the basis of inferred tectonic setting, and the interpretation of ancient ...

Geochemical characteristics of collision-zone magmatism

Geological Society, London, Special Publications, 1986
Summary This paper reports the results of a systematic geochemical study of intermediate and acid intrusive rocks from a number of continent-continent collision zones of Phanerozoic age. Four groups of intrusions can be recognized, each associated with a particular stage in the tectonic evolution of a collision zone.

Geochemical Characteristics of the Nigerian anorogenic province

Geological Journal, 1987
The anorogenic granitoids of Nigeria are classic examples of ring complexes associated with migrating mid-plate magmatism. Most complexes represent eroded calderas of once active volcanoes, and range from 1 to 30 km in diameter. Petrology varies from peraluminous biotite granite, through hypersthene and fayalite granites to peralkaline aegirine ...

Geochemical characteristics of the Daruvar thermal aquifer

2014
Thermal waters from Daruvar thermal aquifer have been subject to physical-chemical, chemical and stable isotope analyses and geochemical modeling to obtain the information about water origin and mixing and the results have been presented.
