The association between oral health clusters and oral health‐related quality of life: A population‑based study of 5‑yr‑old children

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Oral Sciences, Volume 134, Issue 5, October 2026.
Abstract This study aimed to describe oral health clusters that combine dental conditions and perceived oral health and to examine the association of oral health indicators and their clusters with oral health‐related quality of life (OHRQoL) in 5‐yr‐old children.

Self‐reported sexual assault and dental service use among adolescents: The moderating role of dental pain

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Oral Sciences, Volume 134, Issue 5, October 2026.
Abstract This study investigated the association between self‐reported sexual assault and dental service utilization among Brazilian adolescents (13–17‐yr), considering sex differences and the moderating role of dental pain. Cross‐sectional analyses using data from the 2019 Brazilian National School Health Survey were performed with stata 18.5 ...

The Rising Tide Lifts Some Interest Rates: Climate Change, Natural Disasters, and Loan Pricing

open access: yesThe Journal of Finance, Volume 81, Issue 5, Page 2933-2984, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Banks adjust loan spreads after observing natural disasters linked to climate change. We isolate this updating process by identifying loans to borrowers at risk of, but not directly affected by, such disasters. Loan spreads for these borrowers spike in both primary and secondary markets, while no such updating occurs for non–climate‐related ...

Number of Teeth and Posterior Occlusal Pairs by Sociodemographic Factors in the Finnish Adult Population, Results From the Healthy Finland 2023 Study

open access: yesJournal of Oral Rehabilitation, Volume 53, Issue 10, Page 1923-1931, October 2026.
In Healthy Finland 2023‐study, edentulism prevalence was 4.2%, mean number of teeth 24.8, and POPs (posterior occlusal pairs) 6.5. POPs and number of teeth had likewise associations with sociodemographic background factors: older age, lower education, lower income, and being widowed were associated with lower number of teeth and POPs.

Navigating Supply Shocks: Sector Resilience and Production Prices Through Stochastic Input–Output Modeling

open access: yesMathematical Finance, Volume 36, Issue 4, Page 826-845, October 2026.
ABSTRACT This study develops a novel multivariate stochastic framework for assessing systemic risks, such as climate and nature‐related shocks, within production or financial networks. By embedding a linear stochastic fluid network, interpretable as a generalized vector Ornstein–Uhlenbeck process, into the production network of interdependent ...

Consistent root microbiomes across contrasting habitats in a wild perennial vine

open access: yesPlant Biology, Volume 28, Issue 6, Page 1880-1898, October 2026.
Communities of bacteria and fungi associated with the roots are similar across diverse habitats in a wild plant. Abstract While we are beginning to understand that the plant microbiome is important for plant health, we still lack information about how plant microbiomes are shaped across environments and how they influence plant performance, in ...
