Optimal Grazing Exclusion Duration to Enhance Soil Carbon Sequestration in Degraded Grasslands

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Across China, grazing exclusion reaches the national mean soil organic carbon recovery benchmark sooner in high‐MAP regions (> 500 mm), but recovery is much slower where MAP < 300 mm. Scaling this strategy to 70% of China's degraded grasslands would sequester about 1.52 Pg of soil carbon over 10 years—roughly 17% of annual global fossil‐fuel emissions.

A CUDA-Based Parallel Geographically Weighted Regression for Large-Scale Geographic Data

open access: yesISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information, 2020
Geographically weighted regression (GWR) introduces the distance weighted kernel function to examine the non-stationarity of geographical phenomena and improve the performance of global regression.

Multimodal Wearable Biosensing Meets Multidomain AI: A Pathway to Decentralized Healthcare

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multimodal biosensing meets multidomain AI. Wearable biosensors capture complementary biochemical and physiological signals, while cross‐device, population‐aware learning aligns noisy, heterogeneous streams. This Review distills key sensing modalities, fusion and calibration strategies, and privacy‐preserving deployment pathways that transform ...

Measuring the Effect of the Real Estate Bubble: a House Price Index for Bilbao [PDF]

open access: yes
A spatio-temporal model is proposed aimed at producing an index of housing prices. A hedonic model with geographically varying coefficients is coupled with a non parametric estimation of the trend, whence a price index is derived.house prices, price ...

Sustainable Materials Design With Multi‐Modal Artificial Intelligence

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Critical mineral scarcity, high embodied carbon, and persistent pollution from materials processing intensify the need for sustainable materials design. This review frames the problem as multi‐objective optimization under heterogeneous, high‐dimensional evidence and highlights multi‐modal AI as an enabling pathway.

Selenium‐Based Nanoplatforms: An Emerging Theranostic Paradigm for Gynecological Cancers

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This reivew summarizes Selenium as a multifunctional anticancer regulator in gynecological cancers. It reduces tumor risk, enhances therapeutic efficacy, and reduces treatment toxicity. Selenium also overcomes chemoraditherapy resistance, improving overall treatment outcomes. ABSTRACT Gynecological cancers present significant therapeutic challenges due

Eco‐Geography Reverses Dominant AMR Reservoirs in Klebsiella pneumoniae: Integron‐Rich Mobilomes and Cross‐Niche Connectivity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Dominant antimicrobial resistance reservoirs in Klebsiella pneumoniae vary across eco‐geographic settings rather than following a universal pattern. Integrated One Health and global genomic analyses show that lineage structure, integron load, and cross‐niche connectivity shape whether AMR burden accumulates primarily in human or nonhuman compartments ...
