Hyperhemispheric Lens Geometric Calibration
2022In this report we will show the calibration procedure and the obtained results for the definition of the intrinsic parameters of a wide-angle lens through the use of a set of acquisitions of a well-known calibration target. In this case the method is applied to INAF payload panoramic hereafter called BPL (Bifocal Panoramic Lens)

Fisheye Lens Geometric Calibration
2022In this report we will show the calibration procedure and the obtained results for the definition of the intrinsic parameters of a wide-angle system through the use of a set of acquisitions of a well-known calibration target. In this case the method is applied to a Fujinon fish-eye camera hereafter called FEL (Fish-Eye Lens).

Geometric calibration of thermal cameras
SPIE Proceedings, 2013There exist several tools and methods for camera resectioning, i.e. geometric calibration for the purpose of estimating intrinsic and extrinsic parameters. The intrinsic parameters represent the internal properties of the camera such as focal length, principal point and distortion coefficients.

Geometric camery calibration: the virtual camera approach
Machine Vision and Applications, 1995Accurate dimensional measurements made with TV cameras require a careful geometric calibration of the imaging device. This work presents a new calibration approach that makes use of the virtual camera paradigm, in which a calibrated surface (target) plays the role of the image plane of a distortionless, fictitious camera.

Geometric calibration and geolocation of airborne SAR images
2012 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2012The research focuses on airborne SAR geometric calibration. Based on Range-Doppler (RD) model, mathematical model of airborne SAR image pixel direct geolocation was derived and objective calibration parameters were determined. A whole geometric calibration procedure was proposed, whose critical techniques had been studied.

A self-calibrated photo-geometric depth camera
The Visual Computer, 2018Compared with geometric stereo vision based on triangulation principle, photometric stereo method has advantages in recovering per-pixel surface details. In this paper, we present a practical 3D imaging system by combining the near-light photometric stereo and the speckle-based stereo matching method. The system is compact in structure and suitable for

On Geometric Models and Their Accuracy for Extrinsic Sensor Calibration
2018 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA), 2018Extrinsic sensor calibration is an important task in robotics. There are various ways to perform the calibration task, but it often remains unclear which methods are better than the others. In this paper, we provide a systematic study about the calibration accuracy of three types of calibration methods, each represented by an abstract geometric model ...

Novel Geometric Technique of Ultrasound Probe Calibration
2018In the study a novel, simple and robust calibration technique of ultrasound probe for image-guided navigation systems has been proposed. The method employs a LEGO phantom with known geometry and is much simpler than other commonly used methods. Additionally, it requires only a single US image.
