A Geometric Approach to Light field Calibration

1999
Light field rendering allows fast visualization of complex scenes by view interpolation from images of densely spaced camera view-points. The light field data structure requires calibrated viewpoints, and rendering quality can be improved substantially when local scene depth is known for each viewpoint.

Methods for geometrical video projector calibration

Machine Vision and Applications, 2011
In this paper we present two methods to geometrically calibrate a video projector using a markerless planar surface. The first method assumes a partial knowledge on the camera parameters, whereas the second method consists in an auto-calibration method with no assumption on the parameters of the camera.

A geometric solver for calibrated stereo egomotion

2011 International Conference on Computer Vision, 2011
This paper introduces a novel geometrical solution for the pose estimation of a stereo camera system as commonly used in robotics, where the camera system balances between coverage and overlap. The proposed approach considers a set of features observed, respectively, in four, three and two views.

Identification and calibration of the geometric parameters of robots

1990
This paper presents a general method to identify the geometric parameters of serial robots. The robot location and the tool location parameters are taken into account. Experimental results are applied on a six degree of freedom robot of cylindrical type.

Deltille Grids for Geometric Camera Calibration

2017 IEEE International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV), 2017
The recent proliferation of high resolution cameras presents an opportunity to achieve unprecedented levels of precision in visual 3D reconstruction. Yet the camera calibration pipeline, developed decades ago using checkerboards, has remained the de facto standard.

Hyperhemispheric Lens Geometric Calibration

2022
In this report we will show the calibration procedure and the obtained results for the definition of the intrinsic parameters of a wide-angle lens through the use of a set of acquisitions of a well-known calibration target. In this case the method is applied to INAF payload panoramic hereafter called BPL (Bifocal Panoramic Lens)

Camera calibration using geometric constraints

Proceedings CVPR '89: IEEE Computer Society Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, 2003
A method to estimate the intrinsic and extrinsic patterns of a camera model is presented. The intrinsic parameters of camera center and focal length are estimated with a calibration device which is adjusted iteratively with four independent motions.

Optimization of geometrical calibration in pinhole SPECT

IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, 2005
Previously, we developed a method to determine the acquisition geometry of a pinhole camera. This information is needed for the correct reconstruction of pinhole single photon emission computed tomography images. The method uses a calibration phantom consisting of three point sources and their positions in the field of view (FOV) influence the accuracy

Fisheye Lens Geometric Calibration

2022
In this report we will show the calibration procedure and the obtained results for the definition of the intrinsic parameters of a wide-angle system through the use of a set of acquisitions of a well-known calibration target. In this case the method is applied to a Fujinon fish-eye camera hereafter called FEL (Fish-Eye Lens).

Perturbative Refinement of the Geometric Calibration in Pinhole SPECT

IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, 2008
The paper investigates the geometric calibration of a rotating gamma camera for pinhole (PH) single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) imaging. Most calibration methods previously applied in PH-SPECT assume that the motion of the camera around the object belongs to a well-defined class described by a small number of geometric parameters, for ...
