Geometrical error compensation of machines with significant random errors

ISA Transactions, 2005
In this paper, we present a new statistical approach towards soft geometrical error compensation of machines with significant errors. The approach, based on an analysis of the probability of the random error recurring, can reduce the adverse influence of random errors on the compensation of systematic errors.

Error propagation in geometric constructions

Computer-Aided Design, 2000
In this paper we consider error propagation in geometric constructions from a geometric viewpoint. First we study affine combinations of convex bodies: this has many applications concerning spline curves and surfaces defined by control points. Second, we study in detail the circumcircle of three points in the Euclidean plane.

Geometrical Error Compensation

2001
In automated positioning machines such as Co-ordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and machine tools, the relative position errors between the end-effector of the machine and the workpiece directly affect the quality of the final product or the process of concern.

Measurement error in geometric morphometrics

Development Genes and Evolution, 2016
Geometric morphometrics-a set of methods for the statistical analysis of shape once saluted as a revolutionary advancement in the analysis of morphology -is now mature and routinely used in ecology and evolution. However, a factor often disregarded in empirical studies is the presence and the extent of measurement error.

Ramp Tolerance Analysis Considering Geometric Errors

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2009
Load/Unload (L/UL) system has many components such as ramp, limiter, lift-tab and so on. In this paper, we focus on ramp and ramp tolerance analysis considering geometric errors such as assembling and manufacturing errors because the large ramp geometric errors bring about unloading fail that means unloading process does not occur.
