Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Conformal Invariance in Classical Field Theory

open access: yes, 1993
A geometric generalization of first-order Lagrangian formalism is used to analyse a conformal field theory for an arbitrary primary field. We require that global conformal transformations are Noetherian symmetries and we prove that the action functional ...

A geometric invariant theory construction of moduli spaces of stable maps [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We construct the moduli spaces of stable maps, Graphic, via geometric invariant theory (GIT). This construction is only valid over Graphic, but a special case is a GIT presentation of the moduli space of stable curves of genus g with n marked points ...

Hip Morphology–Based Osteoarthritis Risk Prediction Models: Development and External Validation Using Individual Participant Data From the World COACH Consortium

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective This study aims to develop hip morphology‐based radiographic hip osteoarthritis (RHOA) risk prediction models and investigates the added predictive value of hip morphology measurements and the generalizability to different populations. Methods We combined data from nine prospective cohort studies participating in the Worldwide Collaboration ...

Noncommutativity and nonassociativity of type II superstring with coordinate dependent RR field — the general case

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
In this paper we consider non-commutativity that arises from T-duality of bosonic coordinates of type II superstring in presence of coordinate dependent Ramond-Ramond field. Action with such choice of the background fields is not translational invariant.

Quantum Mechanics and Quantum Field Theory: Algebraic and Geometric Approaches

open access: yesUniverse, 2023
This is a non-standard exposition of the main notions of quantum mechanics and quantum field theory, including recent results. It is based on the algebraic approach in which the starting point is a star-algebra and on the geometric approach in which the ...

Crystal invariant theory I: geometric RSK

open access: yesMathematische Zeitschrift
Berenstein and Kazhdan's theory of geometric crystals gives rise to two commuting families of geometric crystal operators acting on the space of complex $m \times n$ matrices. These are birational actions, which we view as a crystal-theoretic analogue of the usual action of ${\rm SL}_m \times {\rm SL}_n$ on $m \times n$ matrices.

Characterization of Defect Distribution in an Additively Manufactured AlSi10Mg as a Function of Processing Parameters and Correlations with Extreme Value Statistics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Double field theory and membrane sigma-models

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
We investigate geometric aspects of double field theory (DFT) and its formulation as a doubled membrane sigma-model. Starting from the standard Courant algebroid over the phase space of an open membrane, we determine a splitting and a projection to a ...

Unidirectional Tape‐Based Composites from Hemp and Pineapple Leaf Fiber: Mechanical Performance in Conventional and Bio‐Based Matrices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The study investigates novel semi‐finished products made of unidirectionally arranged hemp or pineapple leaf fiber‐reinforced composites produced from different matrices. The materials are analyzed in terms of their mechanical and interfacial properties and void content.
