Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

A geometric approach to fault identification in linear repetitive processes
We investigate the fault detection and isolation (FDI) problem for discrete-time linear repetitive processes (DLRP) using a geometric approach. We propose a 2-D model for these systems that incorporates the failure description.

Non-reductive geometric invariant theory and compactifications of enveloped quotients
In this thesis we develop a framework for constructing quotients of varieties by actions of linear algebraic groups which is similar in spirit to that of Mumford's geometric invariant theory.

Cosmological implications of the Weyl geometric gravity theory
We consider the cosmological implications of the Weyl geometric gravity theory. The basic action of the model is obtained from the simplest conformally invariant gravitational action, constructed, in Weyl geometry, from the square of the Weyl scalar, the

A novel workflow for investigating hydride vapor phase epitaxy for GaN bulk crystal growth is proposed. It combines Design of experiments (DoE) with physical simulations of mass transport and crystal growth kinetics, serving as an intermediate step between DoE and experiments.

Aspects of Objectivity in Quantum Mechanics [PDF]
The purpose of the paper is to explore different aspects of the covariance of (mostly) non-relativistic quantum mechanics. First, doubts are expressed concerning the claim that gauge fields can be 'generated' by way of imposition of (local) gauge ...

RELATIVE GEOMETRIC INVARIANT THEORY AND UNIVERSAL MODULI SPACES
We expose in detail the principle that the relative geometric invariant theory of equivariant morphisms is related to the GIT for linearizations near the boundary of the G-effective ample cone. We then apply this principle to construct and reconstruct various universal moduli spaces.

Soft Mechanical‐Electrical Logic Using Liquid Metal‐Filled 3D‐Printed Architectures
We present 3D‐printed soft mechanical–electrical logic elements that use liquid metal–filled silicone tubes actuated by thermoplastic polyurethane/polylactic acid (TPU/PLA) architectures to produce Boolean operations. Complementary normally open and normally closed unit cells perform repeatable binary transitions and can be combined into more complex ...

A new approach to the solution of free rigid body motion for attitude manoeuvers
A Hamiltonian formulation of free rigid body motion defined on the Special Unitary Group SU(2) is used to integrate the system to obtain a convenient quaternion representation for attitude engineering applications.

The main geometric ingredient of the closed string field theory are the string vertices, the collections of string diagrams describing the elementary closed string interactions, satisfying the quantum Batalian-Vilkovisky master equation.
