Assessing the severity of diatom deformities using geometric morphometry

Réunion Island is marked by gradients in both precipitation and surface age. Analyzing correlations between metrics related to precipitation, age, and drainage basin morphology, we demonstrate how volcanic surface age impacts the effects of average precipitation and precipitation variability on fluvial erosion.

Shape and Size Variations of Distal Phalanges in Cattle
Studies on the structure of the distal phalanx help explain the development of laminitis. Additionally, examining the structure of the distal phalanx from a taxonomic perspective also contributes to veterinary anatomy.

Revealing The True Mechanical Behavior Of Porous Tendon Scaffolds Via In Situ Morphometry
Strain‐dependent morphology is measured in electrospun porous polymeric tendon/ligament scaffolds. This dependence significantly affects the scaffolds’ mechanical characteristics. Analysis of both morphological and mechanical changes helps to correlate them. More physiological characteristics are obtained by considering morphological changes.

Global Hydroclimatic Controls on Multithread River Dynamics
Abstract Most large rivers in densely populated areas split flow into multiple channels, forming interconnected pathways called threads. Multithread rivers are sensitive to hydroclimatic changes, yet understanding their dynamics is challenging due to the lack of robust metrics to characterize their evolution.

Abstract The seafloor morphology and subsurface geometry of a late Neogene contourite drift located along the Peru margin is documented for the first time using multibeam bathymetry, two‐dimensional and three‐dimensional seismic data. Along the margin several submarine canyons incise the shelf and slope.

ABSTRACT Aim The aim of this study is to determine whether Angiotensin‐(1–7) [Ang‐(1–7)] alleviates isoproterenol (ISO)–induced cardiac hypertrophy by suppressing excessive autophagy and apoptosis through coordinated Mas receptor (MasR) and angiotensin II type‐2 receptor (AT2R) signaling, and to elucidate the underlying mechanisms.
