Abstraction level of van Hiele’s theory: Occurrence of side effects in GeoGebra integration
One of the obstacles to teaching geometric transformation is the complex procedures that require a broad base of prerequisite knowledge. This complexity often leads students to focus on rote memorization and procedural calculations instead of ...

STUDIES ON THINKING PROCESS IN GEOMETRICAL PROBLEM SOLVING: IV
Five experiments were conducted to study the thinking process in geometrical problem-solving using single problem. Exp. I was for the effect of problem conditions in thinking process, Exp. II for the effect of positive conditions which accelerate the problem-solving and negative conditions which disturb it, as the supplement of Exp. I, Exp. III for the

Creep experiments at 900°C on coarse‐grained steel‐ceramic composites containing recycled magnesia reveal that higher ceramic volume fractions significantly enhance the creep resistance. Detailed EBSD investigations identify subgrain formation in the steel matrix as the dominant deformation mechanism.

Linking geometry and algebra with GeoGebra
GeoGebra is a software package and is so named because it combines geometry and algebra as equal mathematical partners in its representations. At one level, GeoGebra can be as a dynamic geometry system like other, commercially available, software.

Effect of Oxygen Content on Surface and Subsurface Integrity During Turning of Ti–6Al–4V
This study examines how oxygen content in the ambient atmosphere affects the surface and subsurface properties of Ti–6Al–4V during turning. Results show that oxygen does not influence surface roughness. However, machining in an extremely high vacuum‐adequate atmosphere increases surface hardness by up to 7.8% and induces compressive residual stresses ...

Desarrollo de conocimiento geométrico euclidiano y uso de mapas
We run an experiment in order to examine 60 Colombian children’s performance on a task that evaluates the use of ‘pure’ geometric maps for locating objects in a 3D space; the task was adapted from Spelke, Gilmore & McCarthy (2011).

Geometric Thinking of Future Mathematics Teachers in Mozambique: a case study from Rovuma University
We developed the research with 53 students, future math teachers, from the 1st year of the Degree in Mathematics Teaching at Rovuma University. The aim was to identify the level of development of geometric thinking of future mathematics teachers. To this
