The Geometry and Topology on Grassmann Manifolds [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
This paper shows that the Grassmann Manifolds $G_{\bf F}(n,N)$ can all be imbedded in an Euclidean space $M_{\bf F}(N)$ naturally and the imbedding can be realized by the eigenfunctions of Laplacian $\triangle$ on $G_{\bf F}(n,N)$.

Geometry and Topology of Escape I: Epistrophes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
We consider a dynamical system given by an area-preserving map on a two-dimensional phase plane and consider a one-dimensional line of initial conditions within this plane.

TOPOLOGICAL MODULES GEOMETRY

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Sciences, 2023
AbstractThe extremal structure of zero-neighbourhoods of a topological module is analyzed reaching unexpected conclusions when the module topology is not Hausdorff. These results motivate us to introduce the notion of metric modules, which are modules endowed with a translation-invariant metric, turning them into an (additive) topological group.

Geometry and topology of CC and CQ states [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We show that multipartite mixed bipartite CC and CQ states are geometrically and topologically distinguished in the space of states. They are characterized by non-vanishing Euler-Poincar\'{e} characteristics on the topological side and by the existence ...

Geometry and Topology of String Junctions [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Singularities, 2016
We study elliptic fibrations by analyzing suitable deformations of the fibrations and vanishing cycles. We introduce geometric string junctions and describe some of their properties. We show how the structure of the geometric string junctions is naturally related to the Lie algebra structures of the associated singularities.

Interval topology in contact geometry [PDF]

open access: yesCommun. Contemp. Math. 22 (2020), 1950042, 2018
A topology is introduced on spaces of Legendrian submanifolds and groups of contactomorphisms. The definition is motivated by the Alexandrov topology in Lorentz geometry.

Coarse Geometry and Topological Phases [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications in Mathematical Physics, 2019
We propose the Roe C*-algebra from coarse geometry as a model for topological phases of disordered materials. We explain the robustness of this C*-algebra and formulate the bulk-edge correspondence in this framework. We describe the map from the K-theory of the group C*-algebra of Z^d to the K-theory of the Roe C*-algebra, both for real and complex K ...

Geometry and Topology of some overdetermined elliptic problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We study necessary conditions on the geometry and the topology of domains in $\mathbb{R}^2$ that support a positive solution to a classical overdetermined elliptic problem. The ideas and tools we use come from constant mean curvature surface theory.

Varieties of Topological Geometries [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1993
A variety of topological geometries is either A. a projective variety L ( F ) \mathcal {L}(F) over some topological field F F , or B. a matchstick variety M ( X ) \mathcal {M}(X) over some topological space
