Geometry and Topology of String Junctions [PDF]
We study elliptic fibrations by analyzing suitable deformations of the fibrations and vanishing cycles. We introduce geometric string junctions and describe some of their properties. We show how the structure of the geometric string junctions is naturally related to the Lie algebra structures of the associated singularities.

A tiling of a topological space X is a covering of X by sets (called tiles) which are the closures of their pairwise-disjoint interiors. Tilings of ℝ2 have received considerable attention (see [2] for a wealth of interesting examples and results as well ...

Using the theory of Lie-Hamilton systems, formal generalized time-dependent Hamiltonian systems that extend a recently proposed SIS epidemic model with a variable infection rate are considered.

Topological recursion and geometry [PDF]
This paper aims at explaining some incarnations of the idea of topological recursion: in two-dimensional quantum field theories (2d TQFTs), in cohomological field theories (CohFT), and in the computation of volumes of the moduli space of curves. It gives an introduction to the formalism of quantum Airy structures on which the topological recursion is ...

Coarse Geometry and Topological Phases [PDF]
We propose the Roe C*-algebra from coarse geometry as a model for topological phases of disordered materials. We explain the robustness of this C*-algebra and formulate the bulk-edge correspondence in this framework. We describe the map from the K-theory of the group C*-algebra of Z^d to the K-theory of the Roe C*-algebra, both for real and complex K ...

Riemann-Liouville fractional differential equations with a constant delay and impulses are studied in this article. The following two cases are considered: the case when the lower limit of the fractional derivative is fixed on the whole interval of ...

The purpose of this article is to establish some inequalities concerning the normalized δ-Casorati curvatures (extrinsic invariants) and the scalar curvature (intrinsic invariant) of totally real spacelike submanifolds in statistical manifolds of the ...

The geometry and topology of reconfiguration
AbstractA number of reconfiguration problems in robotics, biology, computer science, combinatorics, and group theory coordinate local rules to effect global changes in system states. We define for any such reconfigurable system a cubical complex—the state complex—which coordinates independent local moves.

Synchronization of Caputo fractional neural networks with bounded time variable delays
One of the main problems connected with neural networks is synchronization. We examine a model of a neural network with time-varying delay and also the case when the connection weights (the influential strength of the jjth neuron to the iith neuron) are ...
