"Noncondensables" In Geothermal Fields
SPE Oilfield and Geothermal Chemistry Symposium, 1979Abstract The behavior of gases in geothermal fluids was studied at Republic Geothermal, Inc.'s (RGI's) East mesa test site. Specifically, the solubility of carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrogen (N2) as a function of temperature and-pressure was investigated in detail by chemical analyses and theoretical evaluations.

Abstract The research conducted in the Travale geothermal area by the Larderello Co. up to the 1950s and by ENEL (National Electricity Agency) from 1969 led to the identification of a geothermal field and its industrial exploitation. At present the fluid produced supplies a 30 MW electric power plant and it is planned to install other plants for an ...

Abstract There are over 2500 known occurrences of geothermal phenomena in China. These lie mainly in four major geothermal zones: Xizang (Tibet)-Yunnan, Taiwan, East Coast and North-South. Hot water has also been found in boreholes in major Mesozoic-Cenozoic sedimentary basins.

With the beginning of operations of a 35-MW unit in Momotombo in August, 1983, Nicaragua joined the select group of countries that exploits geothermal resources for the purpose of producing electricity. Considering the old age of existing steam power plants, Nicaragua’s dependence on electricity, and its economic hardships, geothermal energy has become

Geoelectromagnetic and geothermic investigations in the Ihlara Valley geothermal field
Journal of Volcanology and Geothermal Research, 1997Abstract The Ihlara Valley is situated within a volcanic arc that is formed by the collision of the eastern Mediterranean plate system with the Anatolian plate. In this study we will present data from a reservoir monitoring project over the Ihlara-Ziga geothermal field, located 22 km east of Aksaray, in central Anatolia.

Modeling a Geothermal Field in Japan
IEEE Power Engineering Review, 1986Studied is a three-dimensional simulator of single-phase, hot-water flow which consists of fracture-type flow and recharge from the ground surface. Equations as applied to the simulator, and some assumptions and methods of solution are also described. These are applied to modeling of a geothermal field where exploration on geothermal activity is being ...

Exploitation of Geothermal Fields
1989Exploitation is a critical matter, one relating to the quantity of heat available, its quality and for how long it can be obtained from a geothermal field. There are several relevant aspects: one concerns the purely physical processes involved, a second relates to the engineering work and a third covers the economic factors.

Development of otake geothermal field
Geothermics, 1970Abstract Ordinary methods of physical explorations proved to be useful even in such a complicated volcanic zone. The hydrothermal mechanism of this geothermal field is very unique, because saturated high-pressure hot water is obtained not from a reservoir but through cracks.

Analysis of geothermal energy exploitation on Karlovac geothermal field
Nafta : exploration, production, processing, petrochemistry, 2010Geothermal reservoir Rečica was discovered with two wells: Ka-2 and Ka-3. Based on the results of investigations from abovementioned wells, the reservoir temperature of 140 Celsius degrees was determined. Ka-3 would be production well and Ka-2 injection well.
