Fluid Inertia Rewires Flow Graphs and Selects Late Solute Paths in a Rough Fracture

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 17, 16 September 2026.
Abstract Graph models of fractured media commonly vary edge weights while retaining one directed topology. We tested this assumption in a measured three‐dimensional rough fracture using steady Navier‐Stokes flow, flux‐closure recirculation zones, directed voxel graphs, and conservative graph transport.

North sea geothermal gradients

International Journal of Rock Mechanics and Mining Sciences & Geomechanics Abstracts, 1974
REGIONAL studies of geothermal gradient patterns obtained from bottom hole temperature measurements in deep oil exploration boreholes have been the subject of several recent papers1–3. Harper1 has produced approximate gradients in a study of the North Sea by the direct use of bottom hole temperatures routinely taken during the logging of exploration ...

Determination of Geothermal Gradients in Oklahoma

AAPG Bulletin, 1930
ABSTRACT The American Petroleum Institute is carrying on an extensive investigation of the geothermal gradients in the oil fields of California, Texas, and Oklahoma, the purpose of which is to determine the possibility of using temperature data for the location of future oil pools.
