Basin depth distribution in western Anatolia using EGM2008 gravity model
EGM2008 gravity model is used to generate a map of basin depth distribution in western Anatolia. Topographic and the crustal scale gravity effects were removed by applying appropriate 2-D filters.

Early zircon saturation and crystallisation occur in mafic (52–54 wt.% SiO2) lavas at Tengchong volcanic field. These early formed zircons with high δ18O (6.6‰–7.9‰) indicates mantle enrichment by subducted supracrustal materials. ABSTRACT Late Pleistocene (< 0.2 Ma) mafic and evolved volcanic rocks occur in northern Tengchong Volcanic Field, SE ...

ABSTRACT Like other perialpine basins and glaciated margins, the Geneva Basin in SW Switzerland is characterised by buried tunnel valleys, which are elongated incisions widely attributed to subglacial meltwater erosion beneath continental ice sheets. However, an inclusive understanding of the geological control on the evolution of the glacial landscape

ABSTRACT Climate change poses serious threats to food security by affecting agricultural production processes in multiple ways. This study aims to analyze land management–based solution strategies that can be developed in response to this threat and presents a systematic and holistic framework through the relationship these strategies establish with ...

Nordgren PINNs to VQE: Advancing Hydraulic Fracturing Simulations in Shale Reservoirs
ABSTRACT This study advances hydraulic fracturing simulations in shale reservoirs using two computational paradigms, Physics‐Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) and the Variational Quantum Eigensolver (VQE). PINNs were employed to solve Nordgren's equation, which governs fracture width evolution, by embedding physical laws into the neural network ...

Medium enthalpy geothermal systems in carbonate reservoirs, the Western Sicily example
The multidisciplinary and integrated review of existing data (mainly acquired during oil exploration), specifically reread for geothermal purposes, and the integration with new data acquired in particular key areas, such as the Mazara Del Vallo site in ...
