Impact of substrate pH and micronutrient fertility rates on Cannabis sativa
Abstract Micronutrient accumulation caused by low pH can lead to toxicity and have detrimental impacts on plant growth. In substrates with elevated pH, micronutrients become less available. In the first experiment, industrial hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) growth was less at pH 3.0 and 4.0 than when pH was ≥5.0. Root growth was also observed to be inhibited

Two questions yet to be fully answered in the development of the colorful Gerbera as a major cut flower in California include consumer acceptance and economy of production. The wide range of colors, both pastel and fluorescent, and of flower types including singles, doubles, quilled and frilled, would seem to promise a definite consumer demand. To date,

Building beauty: Understanding how hormone signaling regulates petal patterning and morphogenesis
SUMMARY The corolla of flowering plants provides pivotal functions for the reproduction of angiosperms, directly impacting the fitness of individuals. Different petal shapes and patterns contribute to these functions and, thus, participate in the production of morphological diversity and the emergence of new species.

In vitro responses of gerbera (Gerbera jamesonii) cultivars multiplied under different photoperiods
Light affects several aspects of micropropagation. Five cultivars of gerbera were subjected to photoperiodic regimes of 10, 12 and 16-h of light for the shoot multiplication.

APTITUD COMBINATORIA Y HETEROSIS EN VARIEDADES DE GERBERA (Gerbera × hybrida)

THE ROLE OF LIGHT REGIME AND SUBSTRATE IN PHOTOSYNTHETIC PIGMENTS, FREE PROLINE CONTENT AND FLOWER QUALITY OF GERBERA JAMESONII L. [PDF]
The research of light and substrate role in leaf photosynthetic pigments, free proline content and flower quality indices in two gerbera cultivars (Vino and Ruby Red) showed that flower stems were longer in additional lighting treatment, coco’s peat ...
