Gut Bacteria Improve Depressive Symptoms by Degrading Cortisol into Androgen

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Chronic stress is an important risk factor for stress‐related disorders such as depression. Stress hormone cortisol is essential for the pathogenesis of stress‐related disorders such as depression. Some gut microbiota degraded cortisol, and improve depressive symptoms.

Single‐Cell Dissection Reveals Immune Dysregulation After CD5 or CD7‐Directed Chimeric Antigen Receptor T‐Cell Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐cell RNA/TCR/BCR sequencing reveals that 5CAR therapy in T‐ALL induces T‐cell exhaustion, reduces EBV‐associated TCRs, lowers TCR/BCR diversity, and increases NK/DC/monocyte activation and function. In contrast, 7CAR therapy reduces multiple pathogen‐associated TCRs, enhances NK cell activation and function, decreases monocyte activation, and ...

Emerging Prognostic Biomarkers in Testicular Germ Cell Tumors: Looking Beyond Established Practice

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology, 2018
Testicular germ cell tumors are unique among solid cancers. Historically, this disease was deadly if progressed beyond the stage I. The implementation of cisplatin-based chemotherapy regimens has drastically changed the clinical outcome of metastatic ...

GERM CELL TUMORS OVARIUM

open access: yesJURNAL BIOMEDIK (JBM), 2013
Abstract: Germ cell tumors of the ovary are primary ovarian tumors which derived from primitive germinal cells. These tumors are derived from primitive germinal cells. The total incidence of these tumors is around 30% of all tumors, and are mostly found in children and young adults. The etiology and pathogenesis  of these tumors are not clearly defined,

Enzymatic Remodelling of Tumour Microenvironment Enhances Anti‐CEACAM5 CAR T‐Cell Efficacy Against Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study shows anti‐CEACAM5 CAR T‐cells are ineffective against colorectal cancer (CRC) because of CEACAM5 sequestration at intercellular junctions and the thick tumour cell glycocalyx. Enzymatic treatments of CRC cell monolayer/tissue section with trypsin or hyaluronidase restore CEACAM5 availability, enhance CAR T‐cell activation, increase ...

Spontaneous gas in a retroperitoneal mass: check the testis!

open access: yesInternational Brazilian Journal of Urology
Testicular germ cell tumor is the most common cancer in 20-to 35-years-old men. There are known risk factors such as undescended testicle(s) and history of testicular cancer.

Gastrointestinal Involvement of Testicular Germ Cell Tumor: A Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesCase Reports in Gastrointestinal Medicine, 2017
Testicular germ cell tumors (GCT) are the commonest solid tumors in young men. Typical presentation is with painless scrotal swelling; however, symptoms related to complications or metastasis may be the initial presentation.

Comprehensive Profiling of N6‐methyladnosine (m6A) Readouts Reveals Novel m6A Readers That Regulate Human Embryonic Stem Cell Differentiation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This research deciphers the m6A transcriptome by profiling its sites and functional readout effects: from mRNA stability, translation to alternative splicing, across five different cell types. Machine learning model identifies novel m6A‐binding proteins DDX6 and FXR2 and novel m6A reader proteins FUBP3 and L1TD1.

Immunotherapy in Testicular Germ Cell Tumors

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology, 2020
Testicular germ cell tumors (TGCTs) are malignancies with very high curative potential even in metastatic settings, mainly due to the introduction of cisplatin in the treatment of this disease.

CDK4/6 Inhibition Induces CD8+ T Cell Antitumor Immunity via MIF‐Induced Functional Orchestration of Tumor‐Associated Macrophages

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CDK4/6 inhibition promotes CD8+ T cell expansion through tumor‐macrophage crosstalk by activating HIF‐1α and enhancing MIF‐CD44/CD74 signaling. This reprograms TAMs to boost MHC‐I antigen presentation, and CDK4/6 inhibitor‐trained M1 TAM supernatant therapy synergizes with low‐dose PD‐1 blockade to restore antitumor immunity.
