Cellular Snowballing: Cell Adhesion and Migration Drive the Self‐Assembly of Cell‐Microgel Biohybrid Spheroids

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A new class of biohybrid spheroids is engineered through the self‐assembly of adherent cells and extracellular matrix‐mimetic hydrogel microparticles (microgels). By mimicking a snowballing effect, this approach enables scalable formation of porous, millimeter‐scale spheroids with enhanced cell viability and molecular diffusion.

Influence of pre-sowing UV-radiation on the energy of germination capacity and germination ability of rapeseed

open access: yesTechnology audit and production reserves, 2018
The object of research is the rapeseed, which is the first among oilseeds by the volume of sowing. One of the most problematic places of the agricultural complex is an increase in the quantity and quality of the seed material. To solve this problem, scientists and agricultural specialists use various methods, preferring optical radiation – pre-sowing ...

Integrated Single‐Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics Reveal Cell‐Type‐Specific Immune Regulatory Networks in Maize Responding to Southern Corn Rust

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By integrating single‐nuclei and spatial transcriptomics, this study presents a stereoscopic landscape of maize leaf to Puccinia polysora infection. Epidermal and mesophyll cells initiate primary defenses via RLPs/RLKs and jasmonic acid signaling. Cell‐cell communication analyses further reveal the underlying the dynamics of the underlying immune ...

Does prolonged stratification of Douglas fir influence the yield of seedlings?

open access: yesJournal of Forest Science, 2015
The paper analyses the influence of an extended period of cold stratification on the germination capacity, emergence rate and yield of seedlings in the Douglas fir as well as on the morphological parameters of one-year-old seedlings.

Extractable nitrogen and microbial community structure respond to grassland restoration regardless of historical context and soil composition. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Grasslands have a long history of invasion by exotic annuals, which may alter microbial communities and nutrient cycling through changes in litter quality and biomass turnover rates.

Selective Targeting of Tip Endothelial Cells as a Therapeutic Strategy for Tumor Angiogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Doppel protein is selectively expressed in tip endothelial cells within the tumor vasculature, where it promotes tip cell motility and stabilizes the tip cell phenotype. Targeting Doppel with monoclonal antibodies disrupts this stabilization, impairs angiogenic sprouting, and reduces tumor angiogenesis, offering a selective and druggable switch for ...

THE INFLUENCE OF NEAR INFRARED STIMULATION ON THE GERMINATION ENERGY AND GERMINATION CAPACITY OF SELECTED PARSLEY VARIETIES

open access: yesPlant Breeding and Seed Science, 2018
A variety of different physical methods are used increasingly frequently to improve the quality of theseeds material. Numerous publications confirm the positive effect of, for example, the magnetic field witha frequency of 50 Hz on the germination of seeds. However, there are no significant reports regarding theimpact of NIR radiation on the growth and

Pengaruh Pematahan Dormansi Secara Fisik Dan Kimia Terhadap Kemampuan Berkecambah Benih Mucuna (Mucuna Bracteata D.c) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Generative propagation of mucuna produces low germination percentage and requires long time togerminate due to seed dormancy which is caused by the seed coat that is impermiable to oxygenand/or water.

Allogeneic Immune Cell Perfusion Inhibits the Growth of Vascularized 3D In Vitro Tumor Models, Induces Vascular Regression and Desmoplasia, but Promotes Tumor Cell Invasion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a vascularized 3D tumor model to investigate immune–stromal–tumor interactions under allogeneic PBMC perfusion. While immune cells induced tumor shrinkage, they also promoted vascular regression, stromal activation, and cancer cell invasion.
