Effect of sound on the germination rate of turnip seeds
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1974The number of seeds that germinate as a function of time has been examined keeping all environmental parameters constant with the exception of the sound pressure level and frequency These data were very reproducible. At 100 dB all the single-frequency sound data have essentially the same characteristic curve.

Alternating Temperatures and Rate of Seed Germination in Lentil
Annals of Botany, 1994The effect of alternating temperatures on the times taken by seeds of lentil (Lens culinaris Medikus) to germinate was investigated using a two-way temperature-gradient plate. Between 5 and 25°C, warmer temperatures increased the rate of germination.
