Dietary Fiber Supplementation in Gestating Sow Diet Improved Fetal Growth and Placental Development and Function Through Serotonin Signaling Pathway

open access: yesFrontiers in Veterinary Science, 2022
The experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary fiber (DF) supplementation in gestation diet on fetal growth and placental development and function and explore the possible mechanism of DF improving sow reproductive performance.

Effect of oleic acid supplementation on prostaglandin production in maternal endometrial and fetal allantochorion cells isolated from late gestation ewes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Elevated circulating non-esterified fatty acids including oleic acid (OA) are associated with many pregnancy related complications. Prostaglandins (PGs) play crucial roles during parturition.

Evaluation of electrohysterogram measured from different gestational weeks for recognizing preterm delivery:a preliminary study using random Forest [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Developing a computational method for recognizing preterm delivery is important for timely diagnosis and treatment of preterm delivery. The main aim of this study was to evaluate electrohysterogram (EHG) signals recorded at different gestational weeks ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Artificial Gestation

open access: yes, 2020
The idea of an “artificial womb” has been explored in literature, science fiction, and film for almost a century. Full ‘ectogenesis’—growing a human from an embryo entirely within an artificial environment—might have profound implications for society, but is far from reality.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.
