This paper describes the concept and control of a 3d Avatar system with mimic and gestures as a conversational user interface. The Avatar system including gestures and mimic is based on morphing techniques. It allows to generate sign language and mouth motion at lip reading quality in real time.

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Patient therapy outcome modeling in cancer organoids is improved by cancer‐associated fibroblasts and organoid assembly convolution

Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.

User-defined interface gestures : dataset and analysis

We present a video-based gesture dataset and a methodology for annotating video-based gesture datasets. Our dataset consists of user-defined gestures generated by 18 participants from a previous investigation of gesture memorability.
