Hand Gestures Classification with Multi-Core DTW.

ISC Int. J. Inf. Secur., 2019
Classifications of several gesture types are very helpful in several applications. This paper tries to address fast classifications of hand gestures using DTW over multi-core simple processors. We presented a methodology to distribute templates over multi-cores and then allow parallel execution of the classification.

VISUAL HAND GESTURES CLASSIFICATION USING WAVELET TRANSFORMS

International Journal of Wavelets, Multiresolution and Information Processing, 2003
This paper presents a novel technique for classifying human hand gestures based on stationary wavelet transform (SWT) and compares the results with classification based on Hu moments. The technique uses view-based approach for representation of hand actions, and artificial neural networks (ANN) for classification. This approach uses a cumulative image-

Gestures classification from EMG signals

2018 IEEE Biennial Congress of Argentina (ARGENCON), 2018

Recognition of arm gestures using multiple orientation sensors: gesture classification

Proceedings. The 7th International IEEE Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems (IEEE Cat. No.04TH8749), 2005
We present a gesture recognition algorithm from Euler angles acquired using multiple orientation sensors. This algorithm is a part of a system for controlling unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the presence of manned aircrafts on an aircraft deck. After exploring multiple approaches to arm gesture recognition, we investigate a real-time arm gesture ...

SIGNIFICANCE OF DEFINITION AND CLASSIFICATION OF A GESTURE FOR STUDY OF SPONTANEOUS GESTURE: COMMENT ON CHIEFFI AND RICCI'S STUDY

Perceptual and Motor Skills, 2006
In research on gesture production, including Chieffi and Ricci's 2005 study, the focus has been on the connection between gesture and speech. To investigate spontaneous gestures, the most important points have been the definition and classification of gesture. These points may directly influence the result and its interpretation.

Gestural Analysis and Classification of a Conductor’s Movements

2017
Gestures can be studied as the connection of discrete points by continuous paths. In the gesture of the orchestral conductor, the points connected by the gestural path correspond to metric movements of time represented in space. Here, we will study the gestures of the conductor referring to some concept of homotopy theory. The basic metric gesture is a
