Near‐Earth Cosmic Ray Modulation Index ϕ and Neutron Monitor Cutoff Rigidities at Hourly Cadence: Toward an Improved Monitoring of Solar‐Terrestrial Radiation Environment, Space Weather, and Space Climate

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 131, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract Cosmic rays (CRs) are energetic particles originating from galactic and extragalactic sources. When arriving into the solar system and the Sun's heliosphere, they are diverted and modulated by the magnetic activity of the Sun. This modulation can be quantified by the modulation parameter ϕ $\phi $ determined with the Force‐field approximation (

Search for supersymmetric particles at 130 GeV

open access: yes, 1996
A search for supersymmetric particles (charginos, neutralinos, sleptons and stop quarks) has been performed with data collected by the L3 detector during the November 1995 run of the LEP collider at centre of mass energies between 130 and 140 GeV with a total integrated luminosity of 5.1 pb−1.

Evidence of a local BCC‐type coordination of cobalt in FCC taenite of iron meteorites

open access: yesMeteoritics &Planetary Science, Volume 61, Issue 8, Page 1861-1874, August 2026.
Abstract Ni, Co, and Fe K‐edge X‐ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) measurements were performed, revealing an unexpected local structure around Co in well‐known iron and stony‐iron meteorites. Cobalt is enriched in kamacite but remains in taenite at concentrations of at least 0.3 atom%.

Nanoscale space weathering features in mature lunar soil revealed by TEM and APT

open access: yesMeteoritics &Planetary Science, Volume 61, Issue 8, Page 2048-2072, August 2026.
Abstract Space weathering significantly alters the optical, chemical, and structural properties of lunar regolith at micro‐ and nanoscales; yet detailed nanoscale variability within individual soils remains underexplored. Here we apply transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and atom probe tomography to four mineral grains (olivine, ilmenite, and two ...

Search for long-lived charginos and τ-sleptons using final states with a disappearing track in pp collisions at s = 13 $$ \sqrt{s}=13 $$ TeV with the ATLAS detector

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
This paper reports a search for decays of long-lived charginos or τ-sleptons to final states containing a short disappearing track, a single high-energy jet, and missing transverse momentum.

Small Tropical Islands Also Exposed to Extreme Humid Heat by the End of the Century

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 14, 28 July 2026.
Abstract Extreme humid heat is projected to increase markedly by the end of the century, particularly in the tropics. Yet, the case of small islands is ambiguous because the available studies are based on coarse global climate models (GCMs) that ignore them.

Extreme Events Reshape Flood Hazards Through Sediment‐Induced Channel Change in Southern Taiwan

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 14, 28 July 2026.
Abstract Extreme precipitation events can cause long‐lasting changes to river systems, altering flood hazards beyond the initial disaster. We investigate how Typhoon Morakot (2009) impacted flood inundation patterns across four river catchments in southern Taiwan.

A novel configuration of gluonic tetraquark state

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
Inspired by the experimental measurement of the charmed hadronic state X(6900), we calculate the mass spectra of tetraquark hybrid states with configuration of $$[8_{c}]_{Q\bar{Q}} \otimes [8_{c}]_{G} \otimes [8_{c}]_{Q\bar{Q}}$$ [ 8 c ] Q Q ¯ ⊗ [ 8 c ...
