Vestibular Patient Journey: Insights From Vestibular Disorders Association (VeDA) Registry

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Vestibular symptoms impose a high burden of disability. Understanding real‐world diagnostic and treatment pathways can identify care gaps and guide interventions. We aimed to characterize symptom profiles, diagnostic trends, provider involvement, and treatment patterns in vestibular disorders.

Effect of Flaxseed Supplementation on Milk and Plasma Fatty Acid Composition and Plasma Parameters of Holstein Dairy Cows

open access: yesAnimals, 2022
The objective of this study was to determine the effect of whole flaxseed and ground flaxseed supplementation on the composition of fatty acids in plasma and milk, particularly the content of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (n-3 PUFAs).

Matroid representation over GF(3)

open access: yesJournal of Combinatorial Theory, Series B, 1979
AbstractWe show that a matroid is representable over GF(3) if and only if no minor is the five-point line or the Fano matroid, or their duals. Tutte's famous characterization of the regular matroids is a corollary. A key lemma states that two representations of the same matroid in the same vector space over GF(3) may be transformed one into the other ...

Sarilumab in Polyarticular‐Course Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis: Dose‐Finding and One‐Year Analysis of a Phase 2b, Open‐Label, Multicenter Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective This study assessed sarilumab in treating patients with polyarticular‐course juvenile idiopathic arthritis (pcJIA). Methods This phase 2b, open‐label study (NCT02776735) consisted of three sequential parts (each with a core‐treatment and extension‐phase). During part 1, three doses were assessed in two weight groups (Group A/B: ≥30–60 kg/≥10–<

Object-Level Semantic Segmentation on the High-Resolution Gaofen-3 FUSAR-Map Dataset

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing, 2021
Land cover classification with SAR images mainly focuses on the utilization of fully polarimetric SAR (PolSAR) images. The conventional task of PolSAR classification is single-pixel-based region-level classification using polarimetric target ...

MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL TREATMENT REDUCES THE RISK OF TREATMENT ESCALATION DUE TO VASCULAR COMPLICATIONS IN LIMITED CUTANEOUS SYSTEMIC SCLEROSIS: EMULATION OF A TARGET TRIAL FROM ITALIAN RHEUMATOLOGY SOCIETY SPRING REGISTRY

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective Mycophenolate Mofetil (MMF) use in limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis (lcSSc) is relatively uncommon due to the lower fibrotic burden and the predominance of the vascular complications. In vitro observations and clinical data from transplanted patients suggest a protective effect of MMF on endothelial function.

New Fastest Linearly Independent Transforms over GF(3)

open access: yes37th International Symposium on Multiple-Valued Logic (ISMVL'07), 2007
New fastest linearly independent (LI) transforms for ternary functions are introduced in this paper. The transforms operate over Galois Field (3) (GF(3)) and have smaller computational costs than ternary Reed- Muller transform. The new transforms are built based on the known fastest LI transforms over GF(3) and the relations between them are shown ...

Associations of Sleep and Shift Work with Osteoarthritis Risk

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective Daily rhythms may be critical for maintaining homeostasis of joint tissues. We aimed to investigate the relationships between circadian clock disruption, sleep, and osteoarthritis (OA) risk in humans. Methods In the UK Biobank, a prospective 500,000‐person cohort, we evaluated associations between sleep duration, sleeplessness/insomnia, and ...

Current Tracking Adaptive Control of Brushless DC Motors

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
In this paper, the current tracking for Brushless Direct Current motors is approached considering uncertainty in the parameters of the motor's model. An adaptive control scheme to compensate electrical parameters uncertainty is proposed without requiring any knowledge of the mechanical parameters.

Does self-ligating brackets type influence the hysteresis, activation and deactivation forces of superelastic NiTi archwires?

open access: yesDental Press Journal of Orthodontics, 2013
OBJECTIVE: To compare hysteresis, activation and deactivation forces produced by first-order deformation of Contour 0.014-in NiTi wire (Aditek, Brazil) in four brands of self-ligating brackets: Damon MX, Easy Clip, Smart Clip and In-Ovation.
