Development Length of GFRP Rebars Based on Pullout Test
Journal of the Korea Concrete Institute, 2007The development length equations of the GFRP rebars are suggested based on the pullout tests performed in this study. A total of 48 pullout and modified pullout tests were completed. Test variables included embedment length (L=10, 15, 20, and ), vertical and horizontal installation of the rebars, height of the rebars (H=100 and 300 mm), and cover ...

Bond strength improvement of GFRP rebars with different rib geometries
Journal of Zhejiang University-SCIENCE A, 2007Based on the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) criteria, 105 pullout specimens were tested to investigate the effect of different rib geometries on bond strength of glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) rebars embedded in concrete. Two kinds of conventional reinforcing rebars were also studied for comparison.

Integrating Smart Technologies for Sustainable GFRP Rebar Solutions
Journal of Ravishankar University (PART-B)Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) rebars are gaining recognition as a viable substitute for traditional steel reinforcement in concrete structures due to their notable benefits, including corrosion resistance, high tensile strength, and reduced weight.

High temperature effects on concrete members reinforced with GFRP rebars
Composites Part B: Engineering, 2013Abstract GFRP rebars are often used for the internal reinforcement of concrete structures, such as bridge deck slabs, to improve the corrosion resistance. Several studies were conducted to evaluate the static and fatigue behaviour of these elements but the fire resistance still needs further investigation.

Thermal effects on GFRP rebars: experimental study and analytical analysis
Materials and Structures, 2009The bond mechanism between Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) bars and concrete is investigated through experimental testing and analytical modeling. This bond depends on several parameters such as temperature. The present paper studies the thermal effect, under high temperature up to 80°C, on bond behaviour at the interface GFRP bars/concrete ...

Service Life Prediction of Gfrp Rebars in an Alkaline Environment
Polymers and Polymer Composites, 2007This study proposes a model that predicts the degradation of a GFRP rebar exposed to an alkaline environment, and based on this estimate, predicts the service life of the GFRP rebar. The alkaline environment was a pH 12.6 solution of 0.16% calcium hydroxide, 1% sodium hydroxide, and 1.4% potassium hydroxide, and the GFRP rebar was immersed for 300 ...

Bond Characteristics between ECC (Engineered Cementitious Composites) and GFRP Rebars
Advanced Materials Research, 2012The purpose of this study is to investigate the bond characteristics between ECC(Engineered Cementitious Composites) and GFRP(Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymers) rebars. An experimental study was carried out to investigate the bond-slip properties of the steel and GFRP rebars in ECC which was reinforced with Polyvinyl Alcohol(PVA) fibers.

Anchoring GFRP Rebars: Analysis, Experimental Investigation and Assessment for Design
As composite materials gain traction in reinforced concrete construction and infrastructure, addressing typical structural challenges becomes essential. Despite their high durability and favorable strength-to-weight ratio, aspects such as bond behavior and workability require thorough evaluation. This study investigates the axial bonding performance ofMario Lucio Puppio +3 more
