New Fishing Strategies to Face Climate Change Effects on the Spanish Tropical Tuna Fisheries Off Indian Ocean

open access: yesFisheries Oceanography, Volume 34, Issue 6, Page 17-26, November 2025.
ABSTRACT Tropical tunas, including yellowfin (Thunnus albacares), are recognized as a crucial contributor to global food security. Moreover, yellowfin tuna is the most commercially valuable tropical tuna. The Spanish purse seine freezer fleet, actively operating in the Indian Ocean, emerges as a leading contributor to the global yellowfin tuna catch ...

Toward a Deeper Lexical Semantics

open access: yesTopics in Cognitive Science, Volume 17, Issue 4, Page 962-972, October 2025.
Abstract A recurrent problem in lexical semantics is how “deep” the analysis of words and phrases should be. We argue for a deeper analysis of lexical meanings and for relatively rich representations. In particular, we argue that meanings do not form a homogeneous class of mental representations.

Ghost shrimps (Decapoda: Axiidea: Callianassidae) of the Maastrichtian (Late Cretaceous) Ocozocoautla Formation, Chiapas (Mexico)

open access: yesBoletín de la Sociedad Geológica Mexicana, 2013
On the basis of newly collected material, two ghost shrimp taxa from the lower Maastrichtian Ocozocoautla Formation in Chiapas (Mexico) are recorded. Callianassa burckhardti is reassigned to Eucalliax, which extends the known fossil record of this genus to the early Maastrichtian.

Relative growth and sexual dimorphism of Austinixa aidae (Brachyura: Pinnotheridae): a symbiont of the ghost shrimp Callichirus major from the southwestern Atlantic Crecimiento relativo y dimorfismo sexual en Austinixa aidae (Barchyura: Pinnotheridae): un simbionte del camarón fantasma Callichirus major del Atlántico sudoccidental

open access: yesLatin American Journal of Aquatic Research, 2011
Species of the family Pinnotheridae constitute an ideal group for morphometric studies due to their complex morphological adaptations. These adaptations respond to the selective pressure of a symbiotic life style. This study describes the relative growth
