Regulation of the human Gi?-2 gene promotor activity in embryonic chicken cardiomyocytes

Basic Research in Cardiology, 1996
Increased expression of the inhibitory G protein Giα-2 is assumed to contributed to desensitization of adenylyl cyclase in human heart failure. The mechanisms of upregulation involve increases in myocardial Giα-2 protein, mRNA and gene transcriptional activity. To elucidate these mechanisms in more detail, the 5′ flanking region of the human Giα-2 gene

Callus initiation, growth and plant regeneration in Plantago ovata Forsk. cv. GI-2

Plant Cell, Tissue and Organ Culture, 1989
The technique for callus initiation, growth and plant regeneration from cultured hypocotyl explants of Plantago ovata cv. GI-2 is described. Best initiation and growth of callus was achieved on Murashige & Skoog's medium containing 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (1.0 mgl-1) and kinetin (1.0 mgl-1).

Pathology of Lagovirus europaeus GI.2/RHDV2/b (Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus 2) in Native North American Lagomorphs

Journal of Wildlife Diseases, 2021
Rabbit hemorrhagic disease, a notifiable foreign animal disease in the US, was reported for the first time in wild native North American lagomorphs in April 2020 in the southwestern US. Affected species included the desert cottontail (Sylvilagus audubonii), mountain cottontail (Sylvilagus nuttallii), black-tailed jackrabbit (Lepus californicus), and ...

Epidemics of GI.2 sapovirus in gastroenteritis outbreaks during 2012−2013 in Osaka City, Japan

Journal of Medical Virology, 2016
Sapovirus (SaV) is a causative agent of gastroenteritis in humans in both sporadic cases and outbreaks. During the period from January 2005 to August 2014, SaV was detected in 30 (5.9%) of 510 gastroenteritis outbreaks in Osaka City, Japan using real‐time RT‐PCR.

Lithium decreases Gs, Gi-1 and Gi-2 α-subunit mRNA levels in rat cortex

European Journal of Pharmacology: Molecular Pharmacology, 1991
Male Wistar rats (250-275 g) were maintained on powdered rat chow containing 0.2% LiCl for 21 days; control animals were fed a similar diet without the added lithium. Animals were killed by decapitation and cerebral cortex was dissected, forzen and stored at −70 o C.

A Beast in the Field: The Google Maps Mashup as GIS/2

Cartographica, 2006
Over the last decade or more, geographic information systems (GIS) have proved themselves nimble and potent tools in myriad academic, civic, and political disciplines. A body of scholarship followed GIS on its rise to wider acceptance and adoption, however, that questioned its nature and the way its power was wielded.

Epigenetic activation of Gi-2 protein, the product of a putative protooncogene, mediates tumor promotion in vitro

Carcinogenesis, 1992
Promotion of 'initiated' JB6 epidermal cells to the tumor phenotype can be effected by 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate treatment, by stimulation of epidermal growth factor (EGF) receptor activity with EGF or transforming growth factor alpha and by exposure to the isoquinoline derivative H7. When these cells were incubated with pertussis toxin (PTX)
