Rewiring for a GIS/2

Cartographica: The International Journal for Geographic Information and Geovisualization, 2004
Increasing numbers of activist non-profits and traditionally marginalized peoples are adopting gis as a tool for social change. Its use is scrutinized by academics who worry that gis embodies a mechanism for misrepresentation, diversion, control, and surveillance.

Callus initiation, growth and plant regeneration in Plantago ovata Forsk. cv. GI-2

Plant Cell, Tissue and Organ Culture, 1989
The technique for callus initiation, growth and plant regeneration from cultured hypocotyl explants of Plantago ovata cv. GI-2 is described. Best initiation and growth of callus was achieved on Murashige & Skoog's medium containing 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (1.0 mgl-1) and kinetin (1.0 mgl-1).

Lithium decreases Gs, Gi-1 and Gi-2 α-subunit mRNA levels in rat cortex

European Journal of Pharmacology: Molecular Pharmacology, 1991
Male Wistar rats (250-275 g) were maintained on powdered rat chow containing 0.2% LiCl for 21 days; control animals were fed a similar diet without the added lithium. Animals were killed by decapitation and cerebral cortex was dissected, forzen and stored at −70 o C.

Epigenetic activation of Gi-2 protein, the product of a putative protooncogene, mediates tumor promotion in vitro

Carcinogenesis, 1992
Promotion of 'initiated' JB6 epidermal cells to the tumor phenotype can be effected by 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate treatment, by stimulation of epidermal growth factor (EGF) receptor activity with EGF or transforming growth factor alpha and by exposure to the isoquinoline derivative H7. When these cells were incubated with pertussis toxin (PTX)

Mechanisms of thaxtomin A-induced root toxicity revealed by a thaxtomin A sensitive Arabidopsis mutant (ucu2-2/gi-2)

Plant Cell Reports, 2015
The Arabidopsis mutant ( ucu2 - 2/gi - 2 ) is thaxtomin A, isoxaben and NPA-sensitive indicated by root growth and ion flux responses providing new insights into these compounds mode of action and interactions. Thaxtomin A (TA) is a cellulose biosynthetic inhibitor (CBI) that promotes plant cell hypertrophy and cell death. Electrophysiological analysis
