Mixed‐Metal Promotion in a Manganese‐Molybdenum Oxynitride as Catalyst to Integrate C─C and C─N Coupling Reactions for the Direct Synthesis of Acetonitrile from Syngas and Ammonia

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Transition metal oxy/carbo‐nitrides show great promise as catalysts for sustainable processes. A Mn‐Mo mixed‐metal oxynitride attains remarkable performance for the direct synthesis of acetonitrile, an important commodity chemical, via sequential C─N and C─C coupling from syngas (C1) and ammonia (N1) feedstocks.

Macrotyloma axillare ‘Java’ presents structural and biochemical responses against Meloidogyne javanica

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science
The genus Meloidogyne is one of the most significant groups of plant-parasitic nematodes. Plant species capable of inhibiting the development and reproduction of this pathogen can be utilized as a management strategy.

Atomistic Mechanisms Triggered by Joule Heating Effects in Metallic Cu‐Bi Nanowires for Spintronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Bi doped metallic Cu nanowires are promising for spintronics thanks to the stabilization of a giant spin Hall effect. However, heat resulting from current injection forces Bi to leave solution, forcing segregation into monoatomic decorations which evolve into coherent crystalline aggregates.

Unicystic Ameloblastoma with Pulse Granuloma: A Case Report and Literature Review with an Emphasis on Pathogenetic Mechanisms

open access: yesJournal of the Scientific Society
Innate immunity is essential for detecting and eliminating foreign substances, and oral pulse granuloma (OPG) is a rare reaction to vegetable or pulse material often seen in the oral cavity.

Mechanically Programmable DNA Hydrogel Microparticles for 3D Cellular Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
DNA hydrogel microparticles are designed to exhibit controllable viscoelasticity and stiffness across three orders of magnitude from 30Pa$30 \,\mathrm{Pa}$ to 6.5kPa$6.5 \,\mathrm{kPa}$. They are uptaken into fibroblast spheroids where they are actively remodeled by cellular forces depending on their mechanical properties.

COFs on MOFs: Layer‐by‐Layer Synthesis of MOF@COF Nanoparticles with Synergistic Adsorption

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A layer‐by‐layer strategy enables the growth of crystalline covalent organic framework (COF) shells on metal–organic framework nanoparticles, creating core–shell structures with tunable porosity. Ordered interstitial mesopores are formed during shell growth, which are connected with the COF's intrinsic micropores, thereby enhancing water sorption. This

Immunopathogenic and clinical implications of advanced tissue analysis in non-tuberculous mycobacterial infections in children

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
ObjectivesInfections with non-tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) in children usually affect the lymph nodes and surrounding tissue. Although the infection is typically self-limiting, it carries a substantial risk of complications due to persistent ...
