Giant fibroadenoma of one breast: Immediate bilateral reconstruction
Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery, 2007A rare case of giant fibroadenoma of the left breast is presented. Multiple, giant fibroadenomas are histologic and clinical variants of "juvenile" or "giant" fibroadenomas. These tumors are rare and occur mainly in adolescent and young adult black females. The individual lesions are well encapsulated with a histologic pattern primarily of the "juvenile" type, although cases of the "adult" type have been reported.

Mammary Fibroadenoma with Multinucleated Stromal Giant Cells
The American Journal of Surgical Pathology, 1986We have studied an otherwise typical mammary fibroadenoma in a 42-year-old female in which numerous, bizarre, mitotically inactive, multinucleated giant cells were present throughout the stroma. Immunohistochemical and ultrastructural studies confirmed the mesenchymal, specifically fibroblastic, nature of the giant cells.
