Giant magnetoimpedance of chemically thinned and polished magnetic amorphous ribbons

open access: yes
We have measured the giant magnetoimpedance (GMI) of microstructured Co-based Metglas (R) 2714a amorphous magnetic ribbons. Before micropatterning, the amorphous ribbons were chemically thinned or polished, to study the influence of sample thickness and ...

Radial Distribution Of Internal Stresses In As-quenched Fecosib Amorphous Wire Analyzed Through Giant Magnetoimpedance

open access: yes, 2015
The dependence of the giant magnetoimpedance effect on both the applied tensile stress and skin depth is employed to estimate the average of the frozen-in stresses within a Co-based amorphous wire fabricated by the in-rotating water quenching technique ...

Diameter dependence of the giant magnetoimpedance in hard-drawn CoFeSiB amorphous wires

open access: yes, 2002
The as cast CoFeSiB amorphous wire with 135 mum was drawn out to wires with diameters of 84, 64, and 40 mum, respectively. The magnetoimpedance of the hard-drawn wires were investigated in comparison with the as cast one.
