Proteomic Profiling of Myofiber Repair Annexins and Their Role in Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy
ABSTRACT Myofiber regeneration and membrane repair play crucial roles in maintaining the continuous physiological functioning of the neuromuscular system. A swift and efficient repair mechanism enables the rapid restoration of sarcolemmal integrity following cellular impairment in damaged skeletal muscles.

Impacts of the renewable energy transition on global plant diversity: A review
People and nature need a renewable energy transition to help address the growing, and catastrophic, effects of climate change. A sustainable energy transition involves rigorously examining the potential impacts on nature – including plant life – and creating pathways for impact mitigation that strike a clear balance between energy production and ...

The asteroid Athor, residing today in the inner main asteroid belt, has been recently identified as the source of EL enstatite meteorites to Earth. It has been argued that Athor formed in the terrestrial region—as indicated by a similarity in isotopic ...

Catalysts for change: Museum gardens in a planetary emergency
Natural history museums are often seen as places with indoor galleries full of dry‐dusty specimens, usually of animals. But if they have gardens associated with them, museums can use living plants to create narratives that link outside spaces to inside galleries, bringing to life the challenges facing biodiversity.

Accelerating Giant-impact Simulations with Machine Learning
Constraining planet-formation models based on the observed exoplanet population requires generating large samples of synthetic planetary systems, which can be computationally prohibitive.

We use active remote sensing from a ship during the EUREC4$$ {\mathrm{EUREC}}^4 $$A campaign to characterize the environment before, during, and after precipitation in shallow convection. (1) Shallow clouds barely precipitate (only virga). Congestus clouds generate precipitation, occurring less often in the afternoon but with higher cloud fractions. (2)

This study develops a novel application of UAV‐LiDAR and Red Green Blue (RGB) data and network analysis to enhance our understanding of boreal forest succession. The results indicate that tree height and spectral variables are the most influential predictors of plant functional type in random forest algorithms, and high overall accuracies were attained.

Nearby giant exoplanets offer an opportunity to search for moons (exomoons) orbiting them. Here, we present a simulation framework for investigating the possibilities of detecting exomoons via their astrometric signal in planet-to-star relative ...
