Engineering plant immune circuit: walking to the bright future with a novel toolbox
Generating and developing disease‐resistant plant varieties are required to maintain a sustainable food stockpile and the environment. The ability to engineer immune regulatory components through several approaches, such as genetic transformation, CRISPR/Cas‐mediated gene knockdown/knockout, decoy engineering, pathogen effector‐based strategy, RNAi ...

SPINDLY interacts with EIN2 to facilitate ethylene signalling‐mediated fruit ripening in tomato
SlSPY regulates fruit ripening by changing the ethylene response in tomato. A central regulator of ethylene signaling SlEIN2 as a SlSPY interacting protein regulates fruit ripening. SlSPY as an O‐glycosylation enzyme promotes the stability and nuclear accumulation of SlEIN2. SlEIN2 is required for the function of SlSPY in fruit ripening.

ABI4 Mediates Antagonistic Effects of Abscisic Acid and Gibberellins at Transcript and Protein Levels [PDF]
Abscisic acid (ABA) and gibberellins (GA) are plant hormones which antagonistically mediate numerous physiological processes, and their optimal balance is essential for normal plant development.

Endodormancy Release Can Be Modulated by the GA4-GID1c-DELLA2 Module in Peach Leaf Buds
Gibberellin (GA) plays a key role in the release of bud dormancy and the GA receptor GID1 (GIBBERELLIN INSENSITIVE DWARF1) and DELLA protein are the GA signaling parts, but the molecular mechanism of GA-GID1-DELLA module regulating leaf bud dormancy in ...

Overexpression of GA20-OXIDASE1 impacts plant height, biomass allocation and saccharification efficiency in maize [PDF]
Increased biomass yield and quality are of great importance for the improvement of feedstock for the biorefinery. For the production of bioethanol, both stem biomass yield and the conversion efficiency of the polysaccharides in the cell wall to ...

Gibberellin Homeostasis in Tobacco is Regulated by Gibberellin Metabolism Genes with Different Gibberellin Sensitivity [PDF]
Gibberellins are phytohormones that regulate growth and development of plants. Gibberellin homeostasis is maintained by feedback regulation of gibberellin metabolism genes. To understand this regulation, we manipulated the gibberellin pathway in tobacco and studied its effects on the morphological phenotype, gibberellin levels and the expression of ...

Controlling plant architecture by manipulation of gibberellic acid signalling in petunia. [PDF]
Since stem elongation is a gibberellic acid (GA) response, GA inhibitors are commonly used to control plant height in the production of potted ornamentals and bedding plants. In this study, we investigated interfering with GA signaling by using molecular

Transcriptional regulatory networks controlling woolliness in peach in response to preharvest gibberellin application and cold storage [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Postharvest fruit conservation relies on low temperatures and manipulations of hormone metabolism to maintain sensory properties. Peaches are susceptible to chilling injuries, such as ‘woolliness’ that is caused by juice loss leading to a ...
