Ecological Adaptation Mechanisms Underlying Successful Plant Reproduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
During floral induction, various environmental and endogenous signals converge to regulate the florigen protein, which is transported from leaves to the SAM to initiate flowering. Within the SAM, a complex network of receptor kinases and small peptides orchestrates floral development with high spatiotemporal precision.

Effect of gibberellin acid and pinching timing on photosynthetic pigments in fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum L.) under two agro climatic conditions

open access: yesJournal of Medicinal and Industrial Plant Sciences
This study aimed to assess how various pinching schedules and gibberellin (GA) treatments affect carotenoid and chlorophyll levels in fenugreek at two different sites, Ankawa (AK) and Grdarash (GR), along with evaluating pigment absorption properties ...

Transcriptomic and Metabolic Insights into the Distinctive Effects of Exogenous Melatonin and Gibberellin on Terpenoid Synthesis and Plant Hormone Signal Transduction Pathway in Camellia sinensis.

open access: yesJournal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2019
Melatonin and gibberellin are bioactive molecules in plants. In the present study, the role of exogenous melatonin (MT) and gibberellin (GA) in the tea plant was explored by transcriptome and metabolic analysis.

Genetic control of gibberellin metabolism and signalling in crop improvement

open access: yes, 2016
Many developmental processes regulated by gibberellin (GA) impact on crop yield and quality, and genetic variants affected in GA biosynthesis or signalling have been widely exploited in agriculture.

Kaurenolides and fujenoic acids are side products of the gibberellin P450-1 monooxygenase in Gibberella fujikuroi [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The steps involved in kaurenolide and fujenoic acids biosynthesis, from ent-kauradienoic acid and ent-6α,7α-dihydroxykaurenoic acid, respectively, are demonstrated in the gibberellin (GA)-deficient Gibberella fujikuroi mutant SG139, which lacks the ...

Redox‐Dependent Chaperoning of GBF1 Condensates Regulates Seed Germination in Arabidopsis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In dormant seeds (low ROS), GBF1 forms liquid condensates to repress the germination gene CathB3, and the chaperone GIP1 maintains condensate liquidity and repressive activity. Upon imbibition (high ROS), ROS oxidize GIP1 during germination, impairing its chaperone function.

Conservation and Diversity in Gibberellin-Mediated Transcriptional Responses Among Host Plants Forming Distinct Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Morphotypes

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2021
Morphotypes of arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) symbiosis, Arum, Paris, and Intermediate types, are mainly determined by host plant lineages. It was reported that the phytohormone gibberellin (GA) inhibits the establishment of Arum-type AM symbiosis in legume

Tomato AUXIN RESPONSE FACTOR 5 regulates fruit set and development via the mediation of auxin and gibberellin signaling

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2018
Auxin response factors (ARFs) encode transcriptional factors that function in the regulation of plant development processes. A tomato ARF gene, SlARF5, was observed to be expressed at high levels in emasculated ovaries but maintained low expression ...

Haplotype‐Resolved 3D Genomic Landscapes and Their Impacts on Agronomic Traits in Grapevine

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a haplotype‐resolved 3D genomic landscape of grapevine, revealing that structural variations (SVs) are closely associated with phased topologically associating domain (TAD) boundary transitions. These rearrangements coordinate with allele‐specific DNA methylation (ASM) and allele‐biased gene expression (ASE) to shape key agronomic ...

Introgressed Variation in TaMYB7‐A1 Drives Graded Dormancy and Climate‐Adaptive Pre‐Harvest Sprouting Resistance in Wheat

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TaMYB7‐A1 directly activates TaABI5 to enhance ABA signaling and regulate ABA‐GA homeostasis, enforcing seed dormancy. Its superior allele, derived from wild einkorn introgression, harbors a MITE insertion that elevates expression and two amino acid substitutions that enhance transcriptional activity, collectively generating graded PHS resistance for ...
