Efeito de arilo na germinação de sementes de Passiflora alata curtis em diferentes substratos e submetidas a tratamentos com giberelina Effect of aril in Passiflora alata seed germination in differents substrates and submited to previous germinative treatments with gibberellin

Genotypic variation of dormancy in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Agricultural Science, Department of Plant Science, Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
Embryo dormancy and α - amylase dormancy are desirable in wheat to minimise pre-harvest sprouting damage. The current work focuses on the embryo and graincoat colour.

Bi‐functional transcription factor SlbHLH95 regulates fruits flavonoid metabolism and grey mould resistance in tomato

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
Summary Flavonoids are polyphenolic secondary metabolites in tomato fruit with important roles in nutritional quality. Dissecting the transcriptional regulatory network modulating flavonoid metabolism is the first step to improve the nutritional quality of tomato fruits through molecular breeding technology. In this study, we identified a transcription

Dissecting the molecular basis of variability for flowering time in Camelina sativa

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
Summary Camelina sativa is an important polyploid oilseed crop with multiple favourable agronomic traits. Capturing the leaf transcriptome of 48 accessions of C. sativa suggests allelic variation for gene expression levels and notably sub‐genome dominance, both of which could provide opportunities for crop improvement.

Genetic diversity and adaptive evolutionary history of Sapindus in China: insights from whole‐genome resequencing of 100 representative individuals

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
Summary Sapindus is an important forest tree genus with utility in biodiesel, biomedicine, biochemistry and forestry. Similar to many perennial crop plants, its breeding is hampered by long generation times and lack of genetic resources. To understand the genome evolution underlying the important bioeconomic traits, we carried out a common garden ...

Translatome and metabolome effects triggered by gibberellins during rosette growth in Arabidopsis

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Botany, 2012
Although gibberellins (GAs) are well known for their growth control function, little is known about their effects on primary metabolism. Here the modulation of gene expression and metabolic adjustment in response to changes in plant (Arabidopsis thaliana)

A DOF transcription factor GLW9/OsDOF25 regulates grain shape and tiller angle in rice

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
Summary Grain shape and tiller angle are two important agronomic traits influencing grain yield and quality in rice. Herein, we map‐based cloned a grain shape gene GLW9 (Grain Length and Width on chromosome 9), which encodes a DNA binding with one finger (DOF) family transcription factor OsDOF25.

CRY1–GAIP1 complex mediates blue light to hinder the repression of PIF5 on AGL5 to promote carotenoid biosynthesis in mango fruit

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
Summary Carotenoids are essential natural pigments that not only determine the commercial value of horticultural crops through colouration but also serve as vital antioxidants and provitamin A precursors in the human diet. Our previous research has demonstrated that blue light induces carotenoid biosynthesis in mango fruit.

Review on the Effect of Gibberellic Acid on Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.)Tuber Dormancy Breaking and Sprouting [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Gibberellins are growth promoters and to date over hundred gibberellins have been isolated and mainly produced in the leaves but may also be synthesized in the root and fruits, but not all are active in plants.
