The Market Mix GIC is a type of guaranteed investment certificate, of 3- or 5-year term, which offers a return based on a corresponding GIC rate and the performance of a basket of certain stock and bond market indices. To determine the rate of return, the percentage change in each index level from the initial level is calculated.

GIC Occurrences and CIC Tests for 400 KV System Transformer
IEEE Power Engineering Review, 2002The geomagnetic induced currents in a transmission network may saturate transformers and cause additional losses, a high level of harmonics, and a lack of reactive power in the grid. Malfunctioning of protection circuits is also reported in the literature.

Improved GIC digital filter structures
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems, 1983A procedure is proposed which leads to a reduction in the number of adders in a class of digital filter structures based on the generalized-immittance converter (GIC). This is then used to obtain more economical GIC structures. For example, a second-order digital equalizer is obtained which requires only two unit delays, two multipliers, and six adders.

Synthesis, structure and magnetic properties of lanthanide trichlorides‐GIC: Stage-2 DyCl3–GIC
Journal of Physics and Chemistry of Solids, 2006Abstract The formation of the vapor complex DyAl3Cl12 by action of gaseous Al2Cl6 on dysprosium chloride has been performed to synthesize a stage-2 DyCl3‐Graphite Intercalation Compound (GIC). EDS experiments prove that no AlCl3 is co-intercalated and 00l X-rays analysis leads to the chemical formula C17.36DyCl3.66. The c-axis repeat distance IC=1314±

Transverse magnetoresistance in FeCl3 GIC
Synthetic Metals, 1997Abstract GIC-FeCl 3 samples were prepared from a host matrix of highly oriented pyrolytic graphite using the two-zone phase growth method. The stage index, n , was determined by means of the (0 0 l ) X-ray diffraction peaks from a θ-2θ scan at room temperature. Specimens of well-staged GIC-FeCl 3 with n = 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 11 were selected.

Fabrication of modified GIC: GIC-nanoSiO2-HA-ZrO2 using two different mixing methods
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2017Conventional glass ionomer cement (GIC) is among the mostly used material in dentistry but some modifications were needed due to its deficiencies such as low mechanical strength and opacity. In this study, a new nanocomposite, GIC-nanoSiO2-HA-ZrO2 was fabricated whereby zirconia is added to improve the hardness.

Superlattice effects in acceptor GICs
Synthetic Metals, 1985Abstract We review and discuss two kind of effects of the short- or long-range “super-lattice” ordering of the charged acceptor molecules on the electronic properties of stage 1 and stage 2 intercalates, such as AsF 5 or SbCl 5 GICs. The first effect is on optical properties, where several new features are proposed to arise from “zone folding”. The

Participating GICs: Performance attribution analysis
1996Summary: The increasing popularity of participating GICs has created a need for an objective understanding of their performance. The fixed income attribution techniques are not adequate for measuring participating GIC performance because they typically restrict performance measurement to concepts such as duration management, sector rotation, and issue ...
