Tests under irregular loading as a source of information about the fatigue curve behavior in the gigacycle region [PDF]
By means of comparison of calculated and experimental durabilities estimations under service loading and using linear damage summation rule hypothesis a posterior estimation of the fatigue curve type (with-, or without horizontal part, broken type est ...

Optimizing neoadjuvant therapy for muscle‐invasive bladder cancer patients who are eligible for cisplatin remains difficult, owing particularly to high toxicity and recurrence rates. This meta‐analysis compared dose‐dense methotrexate, vinblastine, doxorubicin, and cisplatin (ddMVAC) against durvalumab plus gemcitabine‐cisplatin (D‐GC) and GC alone ...

The study of a defect evolution in iron under fatigue loading in gigacyclic fatigue regime
The work is devoted to the study of the damage accumulation in iron under gigacyclic fatigue (VHCF) regime. The study of the mechanical properties of the samples with different state of life time existing was carried out on the base of the acoustic ...

Evaluation for Gigacycle Fatigue Strength of Alloy Tool Steel
Ultrasonic fatigue tests were conducted with the specimens cut from LL and TT orientations of alloy tool steel. All fracture origins were defects inside the materials or very near surface. The S-N curves were monotonously decreasing slope as Nf increases.

Barriers to nutrition following neurosurgery: A descriptive cohort study
Abstract Background Neurological trauma results in a state of hypermetabolism. Existing literature has explored barriers to adequate nutrition following traumatic brain injury. Despite clinical similarities, it remains unclear whether similar nutritional barriers are faced following both planned and emergency neurosurgical procedures.

ABSTRACT A high percentage of women who undergo the transition to postmenopause experience both menopausal symptoms and genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM). However, GSM is often underdiagnosed. This research aims to identify risk factors that may influence the number of GSM symptoms and whether they cause distress in Taiwanese women > 45 years ...
