05 gigapixel microscopy using a flatbed scanner
The capability to perform high-resolution, wide field-of-view (FOV) microscopy imaging is highly sought after in biomedical applications. In this paper, we report a wide FOV microscopy system that uses a closed-circuit-television (CCTV) lens for image relay and a flatbed scanner for data acquisition.

A Gigapixel Computational Light-Field Camera
Light-field cameras allow the acquisition of both the spatial and angular components of the light. This has a wide range of applications from image refocusing to 3D reconstruction of a scene. The conventional way to perform such acquisitions leads to a strong spatio-angular resolution limit.
