Synthetic Aperture Microscopy for Gigapixel Dynamic Imaging

open access: yes2019 IEEE Photonics Conference (IPC), 2019
Conventional imaging systems suffer from a trade-off between the field of view and resolution. To overcome this limitation, we demonstrate dynamic gigapixel imaging via synthetic aperture microscopy. Integration of low magnification high numerical aperture condenser lenses enable submicron resolution live imaging over an extended field of view.

Gigapixel imaging with microlens arrays

open access: yesProceedings of SPIE, 2016
A crucial part of the drug discovery process involves imaging the response of thousands of cell cultures to candidate drugs. Quantitative parameters from these “high content screens”, such as protein expression and cell morphology, are extracted from fluorescence and brightfield micrographs.

System Design Considerations for Gigapixel Imaging Systems

open access: yesClassical Optics 2014, 2014
Gigapixel imaging systems based on multiple sensors present new challenges for sensor packaging, system integration, and thermal management. We review the system design of the AWARE gigapixel camera.

Lensless polarimetric coded ptychography for high-resolution, high-throughput gigapixel birefringence imaging on a chip

open access: yesPhotonics Research, 2023
Polarimetric imaging provides valuable insights into the polarization state of light interacting with a sample. It can infer crucial birefringence properties of bio-specimens without using any labels, thereby facilitating the diagnosis of diseases such ...
