Bycatch of threatened flatfish species is a major concern in mixed-species bottom-set gillnet fisheries in the Yellow Sea, China. Therefore, we tested floated gillnets against standard bottom-set gillnets to reduce bycatch by exploiting difference in species-specific fish behavior.
