Ginga Observation of SS Cygni

Publications of the Astronomical Society of Japan, 1992
Abstract An X-ray observation of SS Cygni, a U Gem-type dwarf nova, was made with Ginga. The observed energy spectrum is well reproduced by a thermal bremsstrahlung spectrum including an iron emission line. However, the line center energy, 6.68±0.12 keV, is inconsistent with the plasma temperature, 17.5−1.0+1.2 keV, derived from the ...

A personalized TV guide system compliant with Ginga

Proceedings of the XV Brazilian Symposium on Multimedia and the Web, 2009
In this paper we present a personalized recommendation system, the RecommenderTV consistent with the reference implementation of the middleware Ginga. The implementation of the system RecommenderTV demanded the inclusion of new features to the middleware Ginga-NCL none exists in the implementation of reference.

BBXRT and Ginga observations of AGN

Advances in Space Research, 1993
Abstract The X-ray properties of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) support recent theories which unify the Seyfert 1 nuclei with the Seyfert 2's and radio-quiet quasars. In these objects the underlying spectrum is strongly distorted by the effects of reflection from the accretion flow and by absorption in partially ionised material.

First Results from Ginga

1988
Ginga (Astro-C), the X-ray astronomy observatory of Japan, was launched on February 5, 1987. The main features and capabilities of Ginga are described. Some of the results of the observations of galactic and extragalactic sources obtained so far are presented.

Investigating the Articulation of Ginga in Capoeira Angola

2015
From 1822 to 1825, the German painter Johann Moritz Rugendas (1808–58) embarked on a scientific expedition across Brazil. His voyage, carried out immediately after Brazil’s proclamation of independence from Portugal, resulted in the publication of one of the most comprehensive portrayals of nineteenth-century daily life of that former colony ...
