Integrated Experimental, Chemometric, and In Silico Analyses of Larvicidal Supercritical Extracts From Myrtaceae Species Against Aedes aegypti

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 10, October 2026.
The cross‐validated regression tree showed modest predictive performance. Mortality was not significantly associated with the first two PCA axes. Molecular modeling generated testable ligand–target hypotheses. Psidium cattleianum had lower LD50. The larvicidal activity of the crude extracts could not be attributed to individual constituents.

Effect of Contrasting Tropical Grazing System Intensification on the Performance of Holstein and Jersey‐Holstein Crossbred (Kiwi Cross) Dairy Cows

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Agricultural Research, Volume 69, Issue 5, October 2026.
Milk production in Brazil relies on pasture, and intensifying production systems help reduce land use, leading to reduced deforestation and environmental impact. The hypothesis that Jersey crossbred cattle are particularly well suited to grazing systems is also important for Brazilian livestock sustainability.

The Valorization of an Industrial Pollutant Residue as a Teaching Tool, Part II: The Preparation of Hydrocalumite and Its Application as a Catalyst for Ibuprofen Photoremoval

open access: yesChemEngineering
Aluminum is the most used non-ferrous metal, with a well-established recycling procedure, but this process also produces new residues. We recently proposed an integrated laboratory practice based on the recovery of aluminum from the slag generated during

Real‐World Effectiveness and Safety of Tirzepatide in Type 1 Diabetes and Obesity: Impact on Glycaemia, Weight, and Cardiometabolic Risk Markers

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, Volume 28, Issue 10, Page 8836-8846, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Aims To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of tirzepatide on glycaemia, weight, and markers of cardiometabolic risk in people with type 1 diabetes and obesity. Materials and Methods This retrospective cohort study compared 142 adults with type 1 diabetes (BMI ≥ 30 kg/m2) initiated on tirzepatide against 50 age‐, sex‐ and BMI‐matched ...

A New Highly Concentrated Insulin Aspart AT278 (500 U/mL) Demonstrates Ultra‐Rapid Pharmacokinetic and Pharmacodynamic Properties in Type 2 Diabetes Regardless of BMI

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, Volume 28, Issue 10, Page 9423-9432, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Aims To evaluate the pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and safety of a novel U500 insulin aspart formulation (AT278 [500 U/mL]; AT278‐U500) compared with standard concentration insulin aspart (InsAsp [100 U/mL]; InsAsp‐U100) and U500 human regular insulin (HumIns [500 IU/mL]; HumIns‐U500). Materials and Methods This single‐centre, randomised,
