Topoclimate and wine quality: results of research on the Gewürztraminer grape variety in South Tyrol, northern Italy

open access: yesOENO One, 2021
The aim of the study was to identify the ecological indicators that facilitate predictive analysis and to search for patterns in local geographical information to identify risks and opportunities in viticulture. The study focused on environmental factors

Proposal for a Simplified CFD Procedure for Obtaining Patterns of the Age of Air in Outdoor Spaces for the Natural Ventilation of Buildings

open access: yesEnergies, 2017
Built urban environments modify the air quality of the natural ventilation processes in buildings. The experimental assessment of outdoor air change (OACH) processes is complex due to the air volumes involved.

Controlling the Synthesis Conditions for Tuning the Properties of Hydrotalcite-Like Materials at the Nano Scale

open access: yesChemEngineering, 2018
Three series of layered double hydroxides (LDH) with a hydrotalcite-like structure and composition corresponding to [Mg4Al2(OH)12(CO3)]·3H2O have been prepared from a common batch by applying three different aging procedures, namely, stirring at room ...

Two Distinct Phonon Wave Effects Control Thermal Transport across the Coherent–Incoherent Regime in Superlattices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Thermal transport in smooth‐interface superlattices is studied using the phonon Wigner transport equation, which captures both particle‐like and wave‐like contributions. A minimum in cross‐plane thermal conductivity emerges with increasing period thickness, signaling a crossover from coherent to incoherent phonon transport.

Deciphering the Evolution Pattern of Structural Variations Overlapped With Repetitive Sequence During Cattle Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The authors complement bovine pan‐SV with massive novel structural variations (SVs) identified through long‐read sequencing of 83 globally distributed cattle breeds. Repetitive sequence‐mediated SVs (rep‐SV) exhibit distinct dynamic patterns throughout cattle sub‐speciation and/or domestication processes, including uneven distribution between chr‐X and

Noonan Syndrome Spectrum Disorders Predispose to Systemic Lupus Erythematosus: Case Report and Critical Review of the Literature

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT RASopathies are clinically overlapping neurodevelopmental syndromes resulting from germline mutations in genes involved in the rat sarcoma/mitogen‐activated protein kinases (RAS/MAPK) pathway. Historically, RASopathies have been described by clinical phenotypes, such as Noonan syndrome and Neurofibromatosis type I.
