Permian Large Igneous Provinces and Their Paleoenvironmental Effects
Exploring the links between Large Igneous Provinces and dramatic environmental impact
An emerging consensus suggests that Large Igneous Provinces (LIPs) and Silicic LIPs (SLIPs) are a significant driver of dramatic global environmental and biological changes, including mass extinctions.

The SrCuSi4O₁₀ bioceramic particles mimic the effects of hot spring therapy by increasing the local wound temperature, which enhances the absorption of amino acids and stimulates cell metabolism. The amino acid uptake supports cellular glutathione redox reactions, helping to mitigate oxidative stress.

South Cascade Glacier mass balance, 1935–2006 [PDF]
AbstractA simple model uses daily observations of precipitation and temperature at a nearby weather station to estimate glacier-average seasonal mass-balance components at South Cascade Glacier, Washington, USA, from 1935, 24 years before measurements began at the glacier.

Defect‐Rich 2D Layered Double Hydroxides Enhance Sonodynamic Antibacterial Therapy
This study develops defect‐rich ultrathin ZnCuW‐LDH nanosheets (DR‐ZnCuW‐LDH) via acid etching. DR‐ZnCuW‐LDH exhibits fourfold enhanced US‐triggered ROS production due to oxygen defects and electronic modulation, demonstrating potent antibacterial efficacy in vitro/vivo.

Geodetic glacier mass balance (1975–1999) in the central Pamir using the SRTM DEM and KH-9 imagery
Multiple studies on regional glacier mass balance in the Pamir Mountains have been conducted using the geodetic method, but they were rarely extended to the period before 2000.
