Glass-coated microwires for composites [PDF]

open access: yesMoldavian Journal of the Physical Sciences, 2021
In this paper, solutions for two problems are proposed. One of the problems is associated with increasing the strength of objects, for instance, the strength of windows in industrial buildings and dwelling houses.

Enhancing the Squareness and Bi-Phase Magnetic Switching of Co2FeSi Microwires for Sensing Application [PDF]

open access: yesSensors, 2023
In the current study we have obtained Co2FeSi glass-coated microwires with different geometrical aspect ratios, ρ = d/Dtot (diameter of metallic nucleus, d and total diameter, Dtot).

Preparation of cast glass-coated amorphous magnetic microwires

open access: yesMoldavian Journal of the Physical Sciences, 2016
Technological aspects of the UlitovskyTaylor method for the preparation of glass-coated microwires with different structure of metallic cores are analyzed. The residual stress distributions in microwires of this type determine the domain structures. The

Magnetic Properties and Applications of Glass-coated Ferromagnetic Microwires

open access: yesAdvanced Electromagnetics, 2023
A remarkable magnetic softness and giant magnetoimpedance (GMI) effect at GHz frequency range havebeen observed in glass-coated microwires subjected to appropriate postprocessing. Co-based microwires present higher GMI effect.

Nanocrystalline glass-coated FeNiMoB microwires [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Physics Letters, 2008
The evolution of the structure of glass-coated Fe40Ni38Mo4B16 amorphous microwire with thermal treatments and its interplay with magnetism has been studied. As shown by x-ray diffraction, a primary crystallization process resulted into formation of γ-(Fe,Ni) nanocrystallites embedded in a residual amorphous matrix.

Influence of the Geometrical Aspect Ratio on the Magneto-Structural Properties of Co2MnSi Microwires

open access: yesMetals, 2023
This present study illustrates the strong effect of geometrical parameters on the magneto-structural properties of Co2MnSi glass-coated microwires prepared using the Taylor–Ulitovsky method. Thus, there are three samples with different geometrical aspect

Shape-controlled single-crystal growth of InP at low temperatures down to 220 °C. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
III-V compound semiconductors are widely used for electronic and optoelectronic applications. However, interfacing III-Vs with other materials has been fundamentally limited by the high growth temperatures and lattice-match requirements of traditional ...
