‘The glassworks’ with critical analysis

open access: yes, 2008
The Glassworks is a play about people being stuck in patterns. Mikael has decided to take up contact with his parents after not seeing them for five years. He brings his son Daniel with him on a visit to his childhood home over Christmas.

Development of a Brain‐Penetrant Nurr1 Agonist Tool

open access: yesChemMedChem, Volume 21, Issue 11, 15 June 2026.
Nuclear receptor‐related 1 (Nurr1) is a ligand‐activated transcription factor with neuroprotective properties, thought to hold therapeutic potential in neurodegeneration. Here, we developed a potent, brain‐penetrant Nurr1 agonist to study the effects of pharmacological Nurr1 activation in the CNS in vivo. The ligand‐sensing transcription factor nuclear

Archival Sources and Preserved Artifacts : A Historical Analysis of the Swedish Westrobothnian Strömbäck’s Glassworks’ Between 1780–1879

open access: yes, 2021

Phenolate‐ and Alcoholate‐Based Chromium N‐Heterocyclic Carbene Complexes: Structural Peculiarities, Magnetometric and Electron Paramagnetic Resonance Study, and Catalytic Ethylene Oligomerization

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 16, 4 June 2026.
The first low‐oxidation (I/III) state chromium‐complex bearing a O‐chelating NHC ligand has been synthesized and structurally characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray analysis. The formation of the mixed‐valence species was further supported by SQUID magnetometry and high‐field electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy.

Environmental toxicity of glassworks landfill soils

open access: yes, 2016
Following over 200 years of industrialization, soil contamination is a widespread problem in many countries. Contaminants, especially heavy metals and persistent organic compounds, can still be found at high concentrations decades after the emissions ...

Nanoparticle Shape Dictates Catalytic Performance in Selective Hydrogenation of Butadiene Over Au‐Pd Core‐Shell Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 49, 18 June 2026.
Controlling the exposed crystal facet of shape‐controlled Au‐Pd core‐shell catalysts though colloidal synthesis enhances their catalytic performance in the industrially relevant selective hydrogenation of butadiene. ABSTRACT Selective hydrogenation of butadiene is a critical step in purification of alkene feedstocks for polymer production and is ...

Oil‐Coated Nanoplastics Induce Rapid Membrane Disruption and Severe Intestinal Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 31, 4 June 2026.
Oil‐rich food contact dramatically amplifies MNP release from plastic takeout containers, producing oil‐coated nanoplastics with altered surface properties and rapid membrane‐disruptive effects. These particles cause severe intestinal barrier damage and immune dysfunction in mice, and risk modeling suggests that long‐term gastrointestinal burdens may ...

Synthesis of a C‐2 Functionalized l‐Iduronic Acid Derivative as a Candidate Pharmacological Chaperone for MPS II (Hunter Syndrome)

open access: yesChemistry – An Asian Journal, Volume 21, Issue 11, 15 June 2026.
A C‐2 functionalized l‐iduronic acid derivative was designed and synthesized as a candidate pharmacological chaperone for iduronate‐2‐sulfatase (IDS), the enzyme involved in the lysosomal storage disease MPS II (Hunter syndrome). The synthesis overcomes significant synthetic challenges associated with manipulations of L‐ido scaffolds.
