Mapping and cloning of gldA, the structural gene of the Escherichia coli glycerol dehydrogenase [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Bacteriology, 1994
gldA, the structural gene for the NAD(+)-dependent glycerol dehydrogenase, was mapped at 89.2 min on the Escherichia coli linkage map, cotransducible with, but not adjacent to, the glpFKX operon encoding the proteins for the uptake and phosphorylation of glycerol. gldA was cloned, and its position on the physical map of E. coli was determined.

Simulating hydrological processes in a sub-basin of the Mekong using GBHM and RS data [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences, 2015
This paper presents simulations of daily hydrological process of the Mun River, the largest tributary of the Mekong, with a geomorphology-based hydrological model (GBHM) driven by two forcing sets: traditional station data and grid data derived from ...

Impact of Uncertainty Estimation of Hydrological Models on Spectral Downscaling of GRACE-Based Terrestrial and Groundwater Storage Variation Estimations

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2023
Accurately estimating hydrological parameters is crucial for comprehending global water resources and climate dynamics. This study addresses the challenge of quantifying uncertainties in the global land data assimilation system (GLDAS) model and ...

Role of GldA in dihydroxyacetone and methylglyoxal metabolism ofEscherichia coliK12 [PDF]

open access: yesFEMS Microbiology Letters, 2008
The metabolic pathway involving dihydroxyacetone is poorly characterized although novel enzymes associated with this metabolite have recently been demonstrated. The role of GldA in dihydroxyacetone and methylglyoxal metabolism was investigated by purifying the enzyme and characterizing its catalytic ability using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR ...

Assessment of SMAP and SMOS soil moisture products using triple collocation method over Inner Mongolia

open access: yesJournal of Hydrology: Regional Studies, 2022
Soil moisture (SM) is an indispensable variable in drought monitoring and weather forecast. L-band is found to be the most suitable band for retrieving surface SM.

Improving the Accuracy of Water Storage Anomaly Trends Based on a New Statistical Correction Hydrological Model Weighting Method

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2021
The Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) satellite solutions have been considerably applied to assess the reliability of hydrological models on a global scale. However, no single hydrological model can be suitable for all regions.
