Evaluation of reanalysis soil moisture products using cosmic ray neutron sensor observations across the globe [PDF]

open access: yesHydrology and Earth System Sciences
Reanalysis soil moisture products are valuable for diverse applications, but their quality assessment is limited due to scale discrepancies when compared to traditional in situ point-scale measurements. The emergence of cosmic ray neutron sensors (CRNSs)

Analysis of C4 Concentrations to Predict Impact of Patient‐Reported Diarrhea Associated With the Ileal Bile Acid Transporter Inhibitor Linerixibat

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 596-605, March 2025.
ABSTRACT Linerixibat, an ileal bile acid transporter (IBAT) inhibitor, is being evaluated for the treatment of pruritus in primary biliary cholangitis (PBC). Diarrhea is commonly reported with this drug class as IBAT inhibition redirects bile acids (BA) to the colon.

Gleam: An RDMA-accelerated Multicast Protocol for Datacenter Networks

open access: yes, 2023
RDMA has been widely adopted for high-speed datacenter networks. However, native RDMA merely supports one-to-one reliable connection, which mismatches various applications with group communication patterns (e.g., one-to-many).

Environmental Stressors Influence Spatial Complexity in a Fluvial Macrophyte meadow

open access: yesRemote Sensing in Ecology and Conservation, EarlyView.
This research investigates the nonlinear relationships between environmental stressors and the fine‐scale spatial complexity of a fluvial macrophytes meadow. The use of multivariate spatial analysis allowed us to identify two major environmental gradients (nutrients and light) and two major complexity gradients (related to abundance and fragmentation).

A Tracking‐By‐Detection Framework to Automatically Count Rare and Elusive Megafauna in Aerial Video Surveys

open access: yesRemote Sensing in Ecology and Conservation, EarlyView.
Monitoring programs of vulnerable megafauna increasingly rely on aerial surveys from drones or planes fitted with cameras. However, automated methods are still lacking to accurately count individuals across entire surveys. Here, we leverage a tracking‐by‐detection framework to not only detect individuals but also link the resulting detections across ...

Spatiotemporal trends of actual evapotranspiration and evaluation of multi-source evapotranspiration products in China's exorheic basins

open access: yesShui kexue jinzhan
Changes in actual evapotranspiration (ETa) affect the availability of water resources and the sustainability of ecosystems. Accurately estimating ETa and understanding its trends remain a long-standing challenge.

Goffman's Tempting the Devil in Stigma: A Close Rereading of Goffman's “Subversive” Construct of “the Normals” Versus “the Stigmatized”

open access: yesSymbolic Interaction, EarlyView.
This article engages in a close rereading of Stigma, relating it to Goffman's biography as a person who faced stigma. Exploring his biography helps us to recognize the ways Goffman applies stigma strategies in how he represents himself as the author in Stigma.
